Happiest Sunday folks!!
After a short 2 month working vacay, that took me to NY,NJ,MD,VA,ATL,Dallas TX, Las Vegas,I’m back at the ranch and I bring you good tidings!!!!viola!viola!!viola!!!
The story of Brain Drain the documentary started pre Covid 19 and it’s finally coming together.Like JFK said: “we must use time as a tool not as a couch”
I enjoyed wasting time on this project but at alas time you enjoyed wasting is not wasted time. Some friends I muted the idea of Brain Drain the documentary documentary to inundated me with information about similar works often sharing clips of “japa”ideas out there on social and main stream media. But,my team and I stayed focused, believing in our product and kept going.
I’d like to say thank you to them all because they motivated me and gave me the drive to pursue my vision.
Those of you who know me well, can attest to my passion for what I do and how I go about it on a regular basis, be it with my first love of DJing and music,my fashion style or my personality and love for my family both extended and immediate. It’s all from within, all systems go full throttle, ain’t no half stepping.
Like our Covid documentary (A Lasgidi story) currently licensed to SHOMAX and FevaTv Canada, we are driven to bring to fore social issues that affect the lives of the average citizen especially diaspora Nigerians who are craving for their voices to be heard.
Brain Drain is the only authentic voice of the diaspora Nigerian who wants to give back to their country and who believes in JFK’s famous words,”Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”
I was encouraged by diaspora Nigerians who have been yearning for their stories to be told and this was the tonic that fueled the hunger in me to deliver this project with the highest quality of production, both crew and cast. Our documentary is a “profile in excellence”showcasing Nigerians who are excelling in various fields of endeavor, flying the 🇳🇬 to great acclaim.
The Amazing part of it all is that of the 15 Nigerians that we interviewed, none of them have anything negative to say about our country despite living in the western world where our image has taking a battering filled with falsehood and social media misrepresentation. These guys radiate passion about our dear country and some even betrayed emotions, all they crave is opportunity to give back despite our country giving them nothing to show for being citizens of potentially one of the greatest countries not only in the continent of Africa but the world.
My takeaway from this project is the renewed hope that these diaspora Nigerians have instilled in me.contrary to what the doomsday prophets with no congregation are spreading; Nigeria will rise again 💪🏿💪🏿🇳🇬🇳🇬
From the trailer released yesterday, it’s been nothing but love and positivity filled with encouragement and sharing of great ideas to help us ensure that the final product is deserving of an Oscar nomination.
Like the proverbial “In all things we must give thanks” to the supreme being who without whom this would never have come to fruition.(Osonobuwa dalu)Ndi Ezi, ka ebe unu no?
You already know my style, you already know my stelo; Gratitude is the new attitude.
Thank you all for your support over the years and special mention goes to my childhood friend and brother from another mother;Tony Onianwah (CEO Apex Petroleum USA).
