"ROOTS KOMMUNIKATIONS on The Great TURTLE ISLAND",
aka "ROOTS KOMMUNIKATIONS", was the brainchild of Selekta LapuLapu, aka "Bruddah K". It was created as a vehicle for DJ's of Kolor to present Kulturally Konsyus Mixes and interviews and represent our Kommunities through this Musika~based programming on KPFA Radio. We are part of the programming presented by the KPFA Reggae Kollektive (please see

Selekta LapuLapu, DJ Falcón, Sista Ilaya Malaya and Urban Native Son spin, produce and program "ROOTS KOMMUNIKATIONS", and we showcase live Vinyl~based mixes by Selekta Spliff Skankin' on the First Friday latenights. We also bring in special guests DJ's and feature special interviews with Artists and Kultura/Culture~Bearers from the Kommunities of Kolor, with Urban Native Son presenting special recordings from First Nations/Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island / Abya Yala.
