Friday night during the First Responder Pole Celebration, the Hydaburg Dance Group performed the Gambling Song, a song that allows the community to dance in with their money and the group will donate to their choice. They chose through this song to honor the Klawock EMS and raised $1,538!

During the Saturday performances for MMIW Night, the 4th Generation Dance group from Metlakatla performed a song in honor of MMIW/MMIP and honored the Craig and Klawock EMS Departments with the money they raised with their song. That performance raised $1,267. We will be contacting the Craig EMS and $633.50 will be shared with them.

Gunalch'eesh, Haw'aa to all of the dancers who accepted our invitation for these events. You honored our First Responders and wrapped your love around our families of MMIW/MMIP to give them comfort and acknowledgement that our loved ones are not forgotten. Gunalch'eesh, Gunalch'eesh, Haw'aa.
