Too cold to work last night so we came back to camp, played some pickleball , pool and then Zach and I crushed this puzzle in just under 4 hours!

A few weeks ago I was able to make a quick trip back to Cold Lake for an afternoon to take X-rays for the specialist. I did a bunch of weight bearing and non-weight bearing on both ankles. X-rays for my left Achilles(the one I’ve been struggling with) showed that I have a bone spur at the insertion of the Achilles.
Looking forward to meeting the specialist and finally coming up with a solution!

Today would be Papas 88th Birthday! This is our first birthday without him but I’m so thankful for all the memories like these that we had with him. Love you and miss you ❤️

These are the memories I’m going to miss ❤️. We placed 2nd place in Ardmore winning 4/5 games and we won the 50/50. The seniors joked that I wasn’t allowed to come back anymore 😂

Congratulations to everyone who ran the Chicago Marathon today! As many of you know I was scheduled to race today but I cancelled because my heart wasn’t in the right place. My heart was at home with my family spending time together and remembering all the good times we had with my grandfather. Yesterday morning I received an email from Customer service telling me I will receive entry into the 2024 Chicago Marathon that I can claim once registration opens. See you all next year!

5km in under 25 mins! Just trying to get little mileage in without damaging my Achilles before Chicago. My MRI came back saying I have 9mm more thickness of scar tissue since the last MRI and I have a couple bulged discs in my L4-L5 and L5-S1. I see the surgeon on Wednesday to discuss further plans 🤞. What I’m most pumped about is my heart rate zone! What a difference losing 15lbs in 3 weeks can make 😊

It’s been a week since Papa left us and it still doesn’t seem real. I wish I could hear your favourite saying “We love you and god loves you” one more time 😞.

I would like to wish Simon Oleny a Happy Birthday today! He was a very important part of our teams success for many of my fundraising initiatives! Simon first learned about me when I was arrested in Quebec and had messaged to see if it was okay that he drew comics of me along my journey. I would tell him about my day/week and he would come up with comics to tell our story AKA “Run With It”. We’ve been friends for well over a decade now and although we don’t see each other regularly, I think the world of him and his family! Happy Birthday buddy, hope you have a wonderful day.
