Two years ago I quit my programmer job to work full time on my arkanoidvania The Trial of Kharzoid. It has been fun and challenging. Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busy creating new levels! Here's a new one. I'm using the 'dash' item to kill those strange tentacles. This item is really useful in the game, it destroys things and gives the player a few seconds of invincibility!

An arkanoidvania for the NES!

Designing an arkanoidvania is not as easy as it seems! Branching paths, secret exits and chicken hidden in walls! It has to be coherent, fun and challenging. Right now there are 50 levels, 3 boss fights and some cutscenes. I'm working on adding a few more levels, adding more enemies and finishing the last boss (Kharzoid) with the ending cutscene. Stay tuned!
