In response to the forecast of critical fire weather conditions, CAL FIRE has increased firefighter staffing and pre-positioned resources throughout Southern California. A strike team of fire engines from the San Benito-Monterey Unit has been moved down to Irvine as part of this pre-position.

The National Weather Service predicts strong offshore winds, low humidity, and high fire risk from Tuesday through Thursday.

Key Actions by CAL FIRE:
-Deploying 45 additional fire engines and 6 additional hand crews to Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties.
-Strategically moving resources from Northern to Southern California to ensure rapid response capabilities.

On Monday morning, the Greenfield Police Department, responded with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the Greenfield Fire Department, to a vehicle rollover incident on Thorne Road, near Peach Avenue, just outside city limits.

Officers found a single male occupant in the vehicle who was not injured. However, following a DUI investigation conducted by CHP, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Driving under the influence poses a significant risk not only to the driver but to all road users. We urge community members to report any suspicious driving behavior or suspected DUI incidents to ensure the safety of our roads.

El lunes por la mañana, el Departamento de Policía de Greenfield, respondió con la Patrulla de Caminos de California (CHP) y el Departamento de Bomberos de Greenfield, a un incidente de vuelco de vehículo en la calle Thorne, cerca de la avenida Peach, justo fuera de los límites de la ciudad.

Los oficiales encontraron a un solo ocupante masculino en el vehículo que no resultó herido. Sin embargo, después de una investigación de DUI realizada por CHP, el conductor fue arrestado por conducir bajo la influencia.
