In 1997 The house is gutted by fire, having latterly operated as a hotel. Some measures are subsequently taken to stabilise the building and the removal of 3 fireplaces in efforts to save it. Unfortunately there was not much left to this place apart from some odd items lying around from the house itโ€™s self. I am extremely late to seeing this beauty so sadly Iโ€™ve missed all the best parts. I did managed to find the old van which hides in the overgrowth. I added my own edit to the photos to bring out the vibe of this place as it was hard to capture with the amount of nature that takes over.

This mansion belonged to Coco Chanel, after her death in 1971, or so Google said but infact I was told it was owned by the duke of Westminster, chanel was merely having an affair with him and spent a fair bit of time there.. The mansion was abandoned and eventually fell into disrepair. Unfortunately the place has fallen apart and has been a target to vandals over the years. The building has extreme wood rot making the building so unsafe and it made it difficult to sell at the time. Sadly it had to be left to ruin and couldnโ€™t be saved. This would have been a true beauty in its time. I hope you enjoy the photos.

This bus was one of the old western Scottish buses before it was changed to stagecoach. It is believed to be from 1985 when they first came about. It was eventually used for spare parts and then has sat there ever since. You donโ€™t see many of these any more so of course I had to ask to have a look. The decay is amazing, especially with the nature taking over. I hope you enjoy the photos..

This little house was spotted on the map by one of the team, hidden in some overgrowth. we decided to check it out, little did we know it was a perfectly untouched time capsule dating back to 1992 with everything still inside. A lot of the items were also dated back to the 60s & 70โ€™s, this was trinket heaven for me, The old camera was cool to see as well as the big wooden furniture. This little house is starting to decay with some fallen through floors. As the elements take over. Itโ€™s amazing to see something so preserved considering how old it is, especially with all the Little things you hardly see in this day and age. Sometimes the unexpected finds are the best ones.

I am lost for words guys, So After exploring Fornethy House and posting it on here. Little did we know it was part of a massive ongoing case. Its seemed to have sparked an interest in the media which has been utterly crazy, I woke up the next day to my phone absolutely jam packed with messages and comments from fornethy survivors and people from all over the uk. All thanking us for posting the photos and YouTube video. I still canโ€™t believe it. I donโ€™t have any history on this one unfortunately. On arrival We were greeted by a Beautiful spiral stair case. As you walk up the stairs. This one room sits very oddly on its own with almost the rest of the house stripped out. Theres Some lovely old trinkets which I love to photograph. I believe the house belonged to a game keeper going with what was lying around. Sadly the house has been trashed. What a lovely little place this was.

This beautiful 16th century castle sits in the heart of the highlands. It as known as a sporting lodge and was only used during shooting season. It became abandoned in the 1960โ€™s. The castle then stood empty until 2007. the building decayed that much. It was basically a ruin, It was then bought over and has been under restoration ever since. Apon arriving we were met by a lovely gentleman who kindly gave us a tour of this beautiful place. The work he has done is incredible. Turning it into a place where guests can also stay the night . As children, Thousands of women were sent by the local authority to this school of horrors, where it is said that they suffered the most horrific abuse imaginable, further exploring this place we found what looks like a cage/cell with childrenโ€™s blinds inside it hanging on the window. We found old paperwork inside showing what the girls must bring with them during their stay, Itโ€™s such a sad feel in there, seeing all the childrenโ€™s art work on the walls. Knowing what they went through, Innocent little lifeโ€™s at the hands of pure evil. This place is very secluded and surrounded by acres of dense forests, which is a scary thought as you walk through. Itโ€™s like something out of a horror movie. It brakes my heart to share this with you. Itโ€™s probably one of the most saddest places Iโ€™ve ever explored in Scotland.

Itโ€™s Majorly alarmed, The Caretaker deflates tyers & calls the police.

Passing by we spotted this derelict looking hotel. Everything was still left inside. I am unsure of the history on this unfortunately. Itโ€™s Sad to see the menus with all the old prices, and all the bar games left to rot away, I bet this place was a thriving location at one point for the locals. I wonder what happened to it to cause it to close leaving all this behind. What a lovely place as well.

Check out this old tractor we spotted on the road side hiding in the overgrowth. I wonder how long itโ€™s been there for.. I love a good old bit of old machinery and vehicles.

I believe the tenants were evacuated according to one of the locals. I didnโ€™t get to know why?.. so we got to this specific house.. we noticed the light was on. Feeling uneasy we thought someone was in there. As you can see the DOOR OPENS ALOT.. now I actually stood at that door for a good few seconds waiting on my sister .. THEN IT OPENED.. we ran .. thought it was someone.. went back for 2nd attempt after brushing it off.. to only get as far as the living room.. i stood for a second in the hallway to hear a huge bang.. Adrenalin going.. we tried a 3rd time but this time going LIVE due to In disbelief what we were capturing and wanted to show everyone.. if you know me I DO NOT believe in ghosts.. so I braved it and faced it. You can hear the fear in me. I pushed on through.. to then go up stairs .. no one was there as you could see.. I then go into the kids room go to walk back down stairs and we were then faced with another loud bang.. so we ran again.. was too scared on the 4th attempt. As I couldnโ€™t take anymore. The only things that remains open in the Gym on the top floor. Apart from that, every single shop has closed down. The shopping centre is set to be demolished. The floors were crumbling and the building has fallen to peaces. Nature has taken over the house so half of the rooms have disappeared. I managed to photograph what was left lying around. We found an old original recipe irb bru can can from 1992, food, drinks and cereal boxes which date back to the early 90โ€™s. We found an old news paper which dates 1988 & hand written letters from 1960โ€™s. You all know me, I still look for little trinkets and anything I can find to photograph to try and create an imagination of what it was once like here. I believe it tells a story. You can make somthing out of nothing. The true beauty of whatโ€™s been left behind and what was once loved. The owner must be a vehicle lover. There are a few vehicles on land and some motor bikes.
