Grazie mille Una Pinta di Metal!

I Charun sono una Death Metal band italiana formata nel 2021 dopo lo scioglimento dei Coram Lethe e che vede nel progetto, gli stessi Francesco Miatto, Deimos e Simone Pirisi, affiancati dalla new entry Mario Di Ceglie.
E così, lo scorso Marzo, pubblicano per l'etichetta americana New Destiny Records, "Impending decline", un album dalla pesantezza tipica del genere ma arricchita da alcune sfumature melodiche.
"Relentless Fate", per esempio, è uno dei brani che più mi ha colpito perchè riesce ad essere estremo ma al tempo stesso, ha quelle trovate melodiche che alleggerisce il pezzo, rendendolo orecchiabile e più godibile, il tutto unito a ritmiche serrate e a un growl cavernoso che fa vibrare le membra.
Di certo c'è che è pur sempre un disco Death Metal, quindi non è che siamo quì a raccontare di piccioni innamorati che tubano cantandosi le canzoni dei Ricchi e Poveri; i Charun fanno Death e lo fanno con una serie di bastonate che si infilano tra le gengive insanguinate, lasciando la sensazione di metallo nella bocca, per la gioia di noi amanti di musica Death.
Un buon album che consiglio un pò a tutti, di ascoltare!

BLACK EAGLE TRUST is a one-man project from the United States, which published its first release a few months ago on limited to 100 copies tape, a two-song demo titled "MMXX". The gentleman behind this project is still active in the Doom/Death Metal band OLD YEAR, and just like the above band, this band cannot boast of much publishing achievements either, because at the moment only a single appears in their official discography. But it need to start somewhere.
We are going back to BLACK EAGLE TRUST. Two songs, less than 10 minutes of music. It might seem that this is too short a time to draw any conclusions, but sometimes appearances can be deceiving. Already after the first song, one can assume that there may be some deeper idea or concept here. Disturbing, hypnotizing sounds in Dark Ambient atmospheres introduce the listener to the actual ritual, which begins from the first seconds of the second composition. Raw, poisonous and aggressive Black Metal begins to burst from the speakers like flames of torches illuminating the entire scenery, and after two minutes of such an attack it changes back into an ambient, dark monolith, which ends the whole release. It's a pity that there are no lyrics in the insert, because I wonder what the guy behind it all is shouting about in the second track. I associate this demo with some of Lovecraft's stories, but that's just my subjective opinion.
So little and so much. I really like this demo, it makes me hungry for a longer release with the same atmosphere as here. Yes, yes, Mr. Robert Taylor Roark, I want more of it. Please keep this in mind.
