I’ll leave the couch behind but the plants are coming with, sorry not sorry 😂
I’ve found if a plant doesn’t bring me joy but I keep trying to force it, I end up turning plant care into a stressful thing. Try gifting it to a friend, selling it in Facebook, or if it’s sick or has pests and threatens the others, it’s okay to toss it.
Propagation Step 1: Where to Cut
For me, the scariest thing about propagating was knowing where to cut! You’ll always want to cut just below a node, so here are a few examples of what those nodes might look like!
Once you’ve cut them, you may be wondering what do I do now? I’ll share “Propagation step 2: what media to use” in the next video ☺️
My next digital guide will touch on all sorts of propagating tips and tricks that will help your cuttings root successfully! Follow along to know when it’s available! And in the meantime, you can comment “learn” to check out my first digital guide out now, “Plant Parenthood 101” 😄💚

My Monstera Thai hasn’t grown at all since I got it in the winter so it was time for a root check up.
The roots didn’t look very crowded, but I did notice a little root rot starting. Healthy roots will be uniform in color and firm while decaying roots will be black and squishy.
Fortunately, there wasn’t that much happening, so I didn’t panic. I just followed the steps:
1) Trim the decaying roots with clean shears.
2) Douse the roots in a solution of mostly water and a little hydrogen peroxide.
3) Plant in a new pot and fresh soil.
I am also watering with a plant probiotic from @biosnutrients that helps plants recover from and prevent root rot, along with improve moisture retention and nutrient absorption. You add 1 ML to each gallon of water. Comment “probiotic” for my discount link ☺️
