Press release being published tomorrow:
The story of the courageous Charlotte Maxwell-Jones is being depicted in an extraordinary documentary that will be filmed in Afghanistan.
The debacle of the American military exiting that country in 2021 brought many consequences, one of them being this very brave young woman who cared for the dogs of American citizens, was not allowed to board the departing aircrafts with the animals or her staff. They told her she could board alone. Charlotte knew that if she returned to the US, the animals would be killed. In an act of bravery and compassion, Charlotte decided to stay behind to protect the animals and eventually did get them out of Afghanistan.
This is her story and of her brave staff at Kabul Small Animal Rescue told through the eyes of Emmy nominated writer producer Frank Kosa. Frank is no stranger to international filming as he wrote The Story of God for Morgan Freemen which aired on NAT GEO. Executive produced by Deborah Von Brod, creator of BOOZE TRAVELER on Travel Channel, and filmed by world renowned cinematographer Eduardo Montes-Bradley whose credits include EVITA, a documentary on the life of Eva Peron.
“It’s real honor and I feel privileged to be able to tell Charlotte’s story to the world”, said Deborah Von Brod.
Filming will commence soon. More details to come.
