As a huge wrestling fan, it was impossible to not be drawn to the charisma and Machismo that Razor Ramon exuded. I remember hating Razor upon his debut, siding with Ric Flair against the Macho Man. After time passed, I started to get into Razor more because, quite frankly, it's hard to not cheer for someone so damn cool. His King of the Ring match with Bret made me respect him and finally won me over.
Scott Hall would be a top guy in Pro Wrestling in any Era. In fact, i'd argue he'd he an even bigger star if he started in this generation. Often seen with Kevin Nash, Scott's height was underestimated and his size was almost downplayed because he was such a good worker, he didn't look like a giant. He changed Pro Wrestling with the formation of the nWo and changed the business of Pro Wrestling with his guaranteed contract from WCW and used an agent to broker his deal. Something Kevin Nash would soon do, as well as many other wrestlers following Scott Hall.
Scott had his demons. But against all odds, he beat them with the help of DDP, and is a 2 time Hall of Famer. The wrestling world lost an icon, a household name that ushered in the most watched Era in pro wrestling with just 2 words, Hey yo! But the world lost a father and a friend to so many.
I'm not the kind of person who gets emotional about the death of someone I didn't know, but the sudden loss of Scott Hall absolutely gutted me. So take some surveys, throw some toothpicks, make sure your hair is always perfect, do the Scott Hall walk and thumb pose and keep Scott's legacy alive through the amazing work he left us with. Rest in Peace, Scott Hall. Pro wrestling will never be the same without you, Chico.
