In 2014, Europe will get Our City Radio – a completely new concept of online radio… a network of stations that focuses all of its attention on spotlighting the talents of three very special groups of people, our listeners, our artists and our communities. We have an amazing mix of personalities spanning Europe all with a collective vision. It’s their love of music (in the first instance) that brou
ght us together, and between us we have built a platform for unsigned artists to broadcast their original works to the masses through our unique format. We blend together our love of music, the artists’ creativity and the technical talents of our backroom team. Add to that a huge group of enthusiastic presenters and an army of professional promoters who use social media to spread the word to local fans who want to hear that work, and we’ve created a cracking online radio station that showcases their talents. We have communities working together to shape what is the coolest and fastest growing radio network on planet Earth; right now we’re working in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Ireland, France and Greece as well as Canada and the USA; and in 2014 we will be opening new stations is Spain, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and many other places throughout Europe. Everyone who works with us has their own reasons for being involved, and they all add something to the mix that makes us special… makes us stand out from the crowd. Some are new to all the aspects of broadcasting, some have got a lot of experience while others have joined just because they wanted to be a part of something that focuses on helping others, but importantly, they all share a passion for music, discovering new artists and spreading the word about the talent that lives undiscovered on your doorstep! We’re also a part of your local community. The places our artists play, the shops they buy their instruments in, the corner shops round the town, the restaurants, hotels, taxis and tattoo shops they use… pretty much every business you’ll find in your local area is full of people who want to listen to good music, and pay even closer attention when that good music is played by someone that they might know. We want to bring YOUR city alive right here on our website with stories about local people, local businesses, local charities and causes as well as interviews and photographs about local music, sport and news – we want to become the beating heart of your community.
