With all this Bukis talk the last few days I've seen many people very excited and others not so excited-mostly because tix are too expensive (at least for them)

Real question is : Are Los Bukis the greatest Mexican band of all time?
Stop and think for a second before you answer- Are Los Bukis the greatest Mexican band of all time?

Things to consider, when they broke up Los Mismos (the band without Marco Antonio Solis was not nearly as successful, still a good band but certainly no where near the hype.

Marco Antonio Solis, is without question one of the greatest singer/songwriters of all time, up there in the ranks with Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Juan Gabriel, Armando Manzanero (just to name a few), as a solo artist he continues to have sold out shows and I would say he had a more successful career than Los Mismos.

I saw a comment from a girl who said "Los Bukis are the Mexican Beatles", an interesting comparison. Many regard The Beatles as the greatest band of all time.

*I said band not singer/artist so Vicente Fernandez for example does count, a band would mean at least 4+ people for example Mana or Los Tigres del Norte.

Is the hype because it's a 3 day reunion tour or because they are simply the greatest of all time?
