“Put me in the middle of a Swedish forest with just a tent and a guitar and I’ll feel incredibly satisfied. This is also why I started to get into pho- tography. I wanted to find out if it’s possible to capture a landscape, a mountain or some place in the forest together with the emotions it trig- gers in me on a photograph. And in fact, I manage to do that sometimes.”

 „One of my favorite movies is “Lost In Translation” by Sofia Coppola. There is this beautiful scene where Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson) takes a trip to Kyoto on her own. In the background you can hear “Alone In Kyoto” by Air, which I think perfectly fits the scene. A few years after the movie’s release, a business trip took me to this very place and it magically evoked the exact same feelings I had when I first saw that scene.“
 „Although I have seen the movie several times, I never paid attention to the following quote from Bob (Bill Murray), but now that I am a father myself, I completely understand what he means: “The most terrifying day of your life is the day the first one is born. Your life, as you know it is gone, never to return. But they learn how to walk, and they learn how to talk and you wanna be with them. And they turn out to be the most delightful people you will ever meet in your life.“

Dig deeper with us into the production process of Surkids upcoming album HOME FREQUENCIES“ - out this Friday via  „The album starts with a sound from this magical machine. It’s basically four monophonic synthesizers combined in a very clever and musical way. The raw sound of the oscillators is beautiful already. Since it’s built like in the 70s, you can’t automate the sounds in your DAW. Instead with this synth, you have to live in the moment. If you need to record the synth part for an entire track, it’s usually a one-take affair. If you fail, you’ll have to start recording all over again. This synthesizer brought tears to my
eyes. Out of despair and out of joy.“

Francesca Guccione is an Italian composer and violinist.

Fascinated from the very beginning by the relation between sound and image, she combined her violin studies with those in composition and film scoring, earning a Master’s Degree in this discipline with the highest grades.

Her love for travelling and her need to always discover and learn about new realities lead her to perform in many cities around the world, including New York, Toronto, Dublin and Alexandria of Egypt.

Düsseldorf-based band Chogori embarks on an ethereal analog odyssey with their album “Minor Green.” The mesmerizing fusion of analog synthesizers and the warm resonance of double bass defines their captivating sound. Recorded at Hansa Studio in Berlin. The first single one will be released on the 4th of August. The LP will follow at the 15. September
