Mantonfest is only a fortnight away; yay!

's longstanding gem of a festival, we love at Devizine Towers. Here's a preview from a few months ago.

But I've got an extra announcement: I was delighted to suggest an act for the early afternoon, and will be introducing Mantonfest to Chippenham's wonderful folk singer-songwriter MEG.

Images: Gail Foster Whilst festivals around us come and go Mantonfest has been a constant of the Wiltshire music calendar since 2009….. The 29th of June 2024 will once again see the Manton Wa…

What is Devizine all about?

I ask myself that very question. As the name suggests, we’re based in Devizes and therefore we aim to keep features as local as possible. The second half of the title relates to the ethos we operate with, taking the underground self-published zines of yore to universal appeal, we don’t take subject matter too rigidly and freely write about whatever we wish!

That said, primarily Devizine strives to inform, promote and engage, in magazine-styled lifestyle topics from performing arts, music, art, literature, sports, local community affairs and fundraising efforts. We generally steer clear of national headlines and political standings, but sometimes dabble in local politics for local elections and news stories, provided we feel it would be of interest to our readers.

We have the most comprehensive event guide in the area, from a jumble sale to all out mud-fest! We review and preview events, as well as local recorded music, art and anything else we like the sound of! We will interview local creative people, people making a difference to our community. We also enjoy a spoof now and then, and critical satire is welcomed.
