Dear Constituents, No doubt, the preceding month was progressive and fulfilling, even though it was not devoid of challenges and setbacks for some of us, I urge you to be optimistic on the outlook of this unique month of FEBRUARY.

Let us not allow the challenges of the season weigh us down. I believe this year holds a brighter prospect for all of us and I assure you all the good people of Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency a continued quality, purposeful, resourceful and people oriented representation at the National Assembly.

As my constituents, your welfare remains my top priority and you will continue to get my attention. I will continue to nominate and attract to my Constituency people oriented projects that will have direct bearing on the lives of the people.

As the custodian of your trust and mandate, I will continue to do everything within my capacity and within the resources available to me to improve on your social and economic wellbeing, irrespective of political affiliation and difference in ideology and opinions.

Today, the Screening and Registration exercise for Amb. Jeremiah Umaru ACA,ACTI, 2024 Free Jamb scholarship came to an end with not fewer than 350 indigent students from Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency benefiting.

The programme is in a bit to ensure academic excellence and encourage students to further their studies in the constituency.

Notwithstanding, candidates are equally going to receive extra classes and free computer training to prepare well for the upcoming examination.

The JAMB scholarship was strictly for orphans, downtrodden and less privileged Constituents.

Some of the training centres included NITDA /ISE digital economy Centre at A.A Maigari plaza, Nasarawa Eggon and CBT Centre, Ta'al Model E-Library Keffi Road, Akwanga and Area Office Lafia Road Akwanga

Comrade Abraham Mohammed Gbande headed the Committee members who visited the 35 electoral wards to screen the beneficiaries in the Constituency.

The member representing Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency, Amb. Jeremiah Umaru, ACA, ACTI joined the Chairman House Committee on Insurance and Actuarial Matters, Hon. Ahmed Usman Jaha and other co-members of the Committee to attend the Stakeholders Retreat of the House Committee on Insurance and Actuarial Matters with the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).

Rep. Umaru who's a member of the committee, a Chattered Accountant and Deputy Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts was a major contributor at the retreat with the theme: "maintaining a stable and resilient banking system - the role of NDIC" which held at the Movenpick Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Rep. Umaru on a Courtesy Call to Bulgarian Ambassador to Nigeria.

The Chairman, Nigeria/Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly, Amb. Jeremiah Umaru ACA,ACTI earlier today led a powerful delegation on a Courtesy Call to the Bulgarian Ambassador to Nigeria on a Parliamentary Friendship Relations, H. E Amb. Yanko V. Yordanov at the Republic of Bulgarian Embassy in Nigeria on 13th January, 2024.

The Purpose of the Visit was related to Security, Agriculture, Foreign Scholarships and Parliamentary Bilateral collaborations.

H.E Yanko, welcomed the delegation and expressed delight at the continued efforts of the two countries to enhance economic cooperation in both Countries.

Rep. Umaru who represents Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency, highlighted several investment opportunities available in Nigeria, particularly in agriculture and manufacturing.

JJ Umaru noted that as an EU member state, Bulgaria presents significant potential for Nigerian businesses to tap into.

He also acknowledged the capacity of Bulgaria to support Nigeria's economy in several areas, including the provision of scholarships for Nigerian students to study in Bulgaria, the establishment of a mechanized agricultural system and investments in other significant sectors to promote the Nigerian economic growth.

New Year, Photo News:

The member representing Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency, Amb. Jeremiah Umaru ACA, ACTI granted audience to his constituents who paid him New Year Homage at his residence in Sisinbaki Community of Wamba Local Government, Nasarawa State.

The engagements with different communities, groups and associations were centered on forstering peace, unity and progress amongst the people as well as a visit by the most elderly men of Sisinbaki who came to pray for the Honourable Member.

Representatives who spoke at different times, while louding the achievements recorded so far in barely six months of Rep. Umaru's reign in the National Assembly, presented gifts as well as enjoined him to continue the good works he has been doing.

Sisinbaki North Central Carnival: A Unifying End Of Year Fiest.

Just as the year is gradually coming to an end in a myriad of colours. Still in the spirit of the festivities, the Sisinbaki North Central Unity Cultural Carnival, organised by the Sisinbaki Youths and Proudly Sponsored by the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts and Member Representing Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency Amb. Jeremiah Umaru ACA,ACTI with the theme, ‘Peace, Unity and Progress ’ ended in a Colourful Bliss.

Inspite of the global economic crunch, the festival was an atmosphere of glitz and bliss after the Christmas celebrations.

The Carnival Commenced as at exactly 10a.m all through evening and attracted both indigenous troupes and local tourists to the famous Sisinbaki Village the end of each year.

There was different kinds of Cultural performances from troupes within and outside the North Central States, led by their Chairmen where skills and talents were exhibited.

Making the atmosphere merrier, the Tiv Cultural troupes decorated Rep Umaru and hia beautiful Wife while the APC Professional Women awarded and endorsed him ahead of 2027 owing to his quality representation within a shorter period of time.

The lawmaker gleefully took part in the Swange Dance with his adorned beautiful costumes proudly before the spectators.

In his remarks, the Honourable Member described the ceremony as a unifying tool for national development and not just a segment in Nigeria and called on all to take the event serious.

He maintained that with the ceremony, Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency, North Central States and Nigeria can speak in one voice.

“Don’t you see how all have participated in the ceremony? We are all one notwithstanding, ethic, cultural and religious affinity", said the lawmaker.

The Festival brought together top political functionaries, traditional rulers, family and friends of Hon. Jeremiah Umaru from home and the Diaspora.

Yuletide; Yet Again, Rep Umaru Distributes Rice to Constituents

In commemoration of this year's Christmas, Amb. Jeremiah Umaru ACA, ACTI has shared a truck load of rice to his constituents cut across party lines, tribal, youth and other associations in the 35 electoral wards which makes up the constituency he represents at the National Assembly, Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency.

This is the second phase of this year's festive period food items distribution which comes 2 days after the first phase of distribution of a bag of rice and 10,000 to 3 elderly (60 years and above), 1 ward party leader from each of the 35 electoral wards of Wamba, Akwanga and Nasarawa Eggon with the third phase coming up Wednesday, 27th December, where 3 women, a widow and various party women leaders from the 35 wards are to interface with wife of the Honourable Member, Mrs. Sarah Abisabo Umaru when food and other items will be adequately distributed among other activities.

Christmas: Rep Umaru distributes food items, cash gifts to Constituents.

The Deputy Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts and Member representing Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency, Honourable Jeremiah Umaru ACA,ACTI, has distributed food items worth millions of naira and cash to his Constituents to celebrate this year's Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The beneficiaries cut across the three Local Government Areas of Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon, mainly the aged and vulnerable could not hide their joy as they burst into spontaneous songs of Praises.

Rep. Umaru who was at the distribution of the items, stated it was part of the end-of-year activities aimed at supporting families and cushioning the effect of the subsidy removal by the government.

Beneficiaries from various collection centres in Akwanga, Wamba and Nasarawa Eggon expressed their profound gratitude to the lawmaker for his continual support, especially during challenging times.

They highlighted JJ Umaru's significant achievements, including the facilitation of notable projects like Solar Streetlights, Young Farmers empowerment and sponsored bills that will have direct impacts on Constituents.

The lawmaker said that the items were not just for APC members, but for all aged members of his constituency and saying he represent all.

This kind gesture is in fulfilment of his Sabonsalo Agenda of Caring for the Old and the Elderly.

Constituents Lauds Rep Umaru Over Solar Streetlights.

Residents of Angwan Kpandom, Alushi and Mararaba Gongon in Akwanga, Nasarawa Eggon and Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa state have commended Honourable Jeremiah Umaru ACA,ACTI, Member representing Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency for the provision of solar street lights in their respective areas.

The streetlights installation was in continuation of the over 200 streetlights provided across the three local government areas.

Hon. JJ Umaru urged community leaders and residents of the various communities to take ownership of the lights and other government infrastructure to prevent vandalism.

The project is meant to light up dark spots around the communities, increase social and economic activities and reduce criminal activities in various benefiting communities.

Photo News: In the early hours of today, the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts and Member Representing Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency, Hon. Jeremiah Umaru was among the strong delegation of the House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee (PAC) during the hearing of the 2024 Budget Defense allocated to the Ministry of Environment.

The Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal led all the Agencies and Parastatals under the ministry to the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

Recalled that, On November 29, President Bola Tinubu presented a budget proposal for the 2024 fiscal year running into trillions of naira — an outing that evoked debates about the country’s spending trajectory for the year.

While there are varying views on the size of the budget and revenue sources for implementation, the president said the appropriation bill would ensure macroeconomic stability, “reduce the deficit, and increase capital spending and allocation to reflect the eight priority areas of this administration”.

The Sisinbaki Youth Unity Forum is set to host its 8th Annual "North-Central Carnival of Peace, Unity and Progress" in Wamba Local Government of Nasarawa State come 26 December, 2023.

This year's edition promises to bring people from different races and all works of life together as cultural troops from all North-Central States of Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The member representing Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency and winner of the "Best New Legislator" award in the National Assembly, Amb. Jeremiah Umaru has yet again being conferred with another prestigious "award of excellence" as "Exclusive Personality of the year, 2023" by Nasarawa Industry for creative entertainment with prominent politicians raining praises in recognition of his distinguished exploit thus far in the NA.

Member representing Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon in the Federal House of Representatives, Amb. Umaru, who assured his Constituents the dividends of democracy, solicited for more support and prayers for a successful representation.

"Quality Representation"; Rep. Umaru Sponsors 2 More Bills, 1 Motion

Hon. Jeremiah Umaru (APC, Nasarawa State) has presented two major Bills and one motion on the floor of the House of Representatives earlier today, 22th November 2023.

The Bills sponsored by Rep. Umaru who represents Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency seek for the establishment of "Chattered Institute of Outsourcing and Management of Nigeria, 2023" and "Stamp Duties Amendment Bill, 2023".

Rep. Umaru, a Chattered Accountant and the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts moved a Motion to "Investigate Revenue Leakages and Non-remittance of Revenues Generated Through the Remita Platform" aimed to address issues surrounding revenue generation, especially revenue shortfall and controversies surrounding proliferation of multiple Government bank accounts in a bit to promote accountability and transparency, calling on the house to "Mandate the Committee on Public Accounts to Investigate" the issues raised for further legislative actions.

The 2 Bills have passed first reading and the Motion which was jointly moved by Hon Jafaru Gambo Leko was unanimously approved by the house, in addition to the 7 Bills and 3 Motions to Rep. Umaru's credit which are in tandem with "Quality Representation"; one of the major items on his Sabon Salo Blueprint.

It was a moment of Celebration in Marhai and Masinge Communities of Farin Ruwa Development Area, Wamba Local government as the flawless and matchless award winning young Legislator of the year, Amb. Jeremiah Umaru ACA, Deputy Chairman House Committee on Public Account and member representing the good people of Akwanga/Wamba/Nasarawa Eggon Federal Constituency restores electricity to the Communities after 8 months of Darkness.

Recalled during one of their Courtesy, the Community pleaded with the Honourable Member to key into the electrification project and JJ Umaru swift into actions and connect the community and her environs back to the world.

Amb. Jeremiah Umaru, ACA was yesterday, 15 November, conferred with the National Assembly Award of honour as the "Best New Legislator of the Year", 2023.

Rep. Umaru who represents Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency was nominated and subsequently presented with the distinguished golden plaque of the prestigious merit award at an event in Transcorp Hilton, Abuja In recognition of his exceptional legislative and non-legislative achievements.

Once again, Congratulations Sir. Indeed, this is a well deserved Award.

NASS, YAN Honours Rep. Umaru With 2 Meritorious Awards, Rain Encomium on the Lawmaker

Barely few days after being nominated for a prestigious award by the National Assembly Award Committee (NASS Award) in the "Best New Legislator" category for his outstanding contributions to Nation-building, particularly in the realm of human development and his instrumental role in inspiring positive societal changes, the Deputy Chairman House Standing Committee on Public Accounts and Member Representing Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency, Amb. Jeremiah Umaru was conferred with the meritorious award as 2023 Young Best Lawmaker at a ceremony in Transcorp Hilton in the Nation's Capital, Abuja.

This came few hours after the legislator was honoured with an award as "Icon of Hope" by the Youth Assembly of Nigeria at a Summit in Nigeria Merit House in Maitama District, Abuja on Wednesday, 15 November, 2023.

According to national Speaker of YAN, Rt Hon Shuaibu Sani, "the National Leadership of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria deem it necessary to present award of excellence on Amb. J.J Umaru, because he empowered hundreds of young students with scholarship within his 100 days in Office.

"In addition, he sponsored motions and bills that have direct bearing on the educational advancement of his people. Worthy of mention are the Bills for the Establishment National Youth Development Commission and Federal University of Education, Akwanga.

"In furtherance to this, he accords premium to the general welfare and socioeconomic growth and development of his constituents. He demonstrated this by providing 6 transformers to boost electricity supply in some communities within his constituency which has opened up businesses thereby improving the livelihood of his people.

"These and many more reasons prompted the leadership of the Assembly to say thank you to the Honourable Member," Shuaibu Sanu stated in an official statement.

"A Dream Come True" as Rep. Umaru Gift Home-base Football Club a Vehicle

The Sisinbaki United Football Club of Sisinbaki Community, Wamba Local Government of Nasarawa State was gifted an 18 Seater Toyota Bus by Amb. Jeremiah Umaru, member representing Akwanga/Nasarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency earlier today, Tuesday Nov. 14, 2023.

Receiving the car gift on behalf of the team, the head Coach, James Jikka (Coach Deco) appreciated Rep. Umaru for what he describe as "a dream come true".

The keys were handed over by SA domestic affairs to the Honourable Member, Hon. Usman Osama who extends the Distinguished Member's highest regard and best wishes, while enjoining the Football Club to make "judicious use" of the vehicle which he said is "another act of magnanimity" from the philanthropist cm politician.
