When your own local community values your contribution it is indeed a very high honour. I was chair of this grand art gallery, Firstsite and helped it embrace diversity through my creative leadership and network of contacts which I shared selflessly. It is part of the Tate Network and won the Museum of the Year award for its diversity initiatives.
