Thoughts? The Noble protocol receivers I’ve not seen clones for, so I’m not sure which unauthorized rx they are referring to.

It looks like TLR has a new 22 2WD buggy being raced by some of the pros at the Masters of Dirt! Big race at Beach RC Hobbies in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina happening now.

I spy shocks are now behind both towers, protected by tower guards, and definitely a new front hub design.

First time with the pit stacker at a big race!

New AE B7D 2WD MOD buggy ready for first time on track.
Also running the Tekno EB410.2 for 4WD MOD buggy
And an AE T6.2 for Stadium Truck with a fresh Finnisher body. And JC tires for all.

Also first time with GensAce REDLINE 2.0 lipos.

Building the AE RC10B7D 2WD Buggy! Put it off too long, getting it together now for a CTSR championship race this weekend (new clay track layout unseen yet)
Added a few upgrades along the way of the B7D build since I’ve had many months of research time. Got the kit and the parts from
- AE Factory Team Servo Mount (more rigid and easier to get servo out from top)
- AE Factory Team LCF Octolock slipper pads (grippier and wear better for MOD use)
- Generic 1mm longer rear hinge pins (for extra reliability)
- AE Delrin machined shock cartridge spacers (for smoother shocks)
I’m starting with Dusty Evan’s Winter 2024 setup, it’s an older setup but should be a good baseline to start with.
ERRORS! Careful if you are building from a V1 manual in original B7 batches. The front caster insert and setup sheets should be POSITIVE not negative. That and a few other fixes in V2 manual, so download the latest and sheets for accuracy.
Now to finish the electronics and the body then it should be ready to race.
Will be setup with a new HobbyWing XR10 ESC and a new GensAce Redline 2.0 4000mah LCG shorty lipo. Reusing an older Savox 1258 servo, and SMC Lowrider 13.5T motor I really like. Radio will be FlySky Noble.

A very fun afternoon at Parking Lot Wars to end the PLW 2024 season.
Today a 1st place WIN in Kyosho, 2nd place in Tamiya, and 3rd place in SCT!
Also, overall scored enough points to get a series podium finish in both stock onroad classes:
3rd overall in Kyosho
3rd overall in Tamiya.

Very pleased and happily surprised at that since I missed half the PLW events this year due to health issues or event conflicts.

I’ve missed nearly the entire outdoor 8th scale off road season in 2024 due to a combo of heath problem and rainy weather, but I’ve taken care of the health problem so I hope to get to more outdoor off road races next year.

CANADIANS - You might want to stock up on Tamiya aerosol paints soon, the gov just banned the current formulation for import into Canada. 😡

Sad news here. Based on Tamiya reluctance to even upgrade hardware from Phillips head hardware, I can’t see them changing anything to accommodate the Canadian market. I feel like some notice would be fair..

Here’s some great pics from the VVRC 2024 Jamboree. I ran the 79 Ford 6x6 Hauler

The 6x6 hauler did very well at its first comp, a few more upgrades and tweaks and it can be excellent.

Forgot to take a pic at end of my score but I did tally 149 points with my deductions, and tied for 2nd in the show and shine. Also, got a few purple extreme difficulty gates clean, solo and without a winch. That extra set of wheels when they grab is like having a winch.

Put the custom TRX6 Hauler to good use on the comp course today. Carried a competitor across some gates after that crawler had a front driveshaft blowout.

Really fun and challenging course. ~3 HUNDRED gates 😳. The 6x6 didn’t break but I did run a 3S battery flat. Ran out of juice just before the 2pm score check in.
