Spencer's Vintage Inches A wild & wacky vinyl-only rock n roll party broadcast live on Hoxton FM Tuesdays, 5-6pm, and on CIUT 89.5 FM in Toronto early Friday morning, 2-3am!

After reaching adulthood in Toronto, Canada, DJ "Colonel" Spencer relocated to the UK in search of a damper climate. He brought with him a love of 1950′s and early 60′s rock and roll music, and an ever expanding box of 7″ records. Pretty soon he found himself DJing in second rate strip clubs and fronting his own rock and roll group, MFC Chicken, who released their first 12″ LP with Dirty Water Rec

ords in 2012 and a 7” single a year later. He hosts a weekly all night rock and roll record party, “Rip It Up”, in London’s east end. Now, as the host of Spencer’s Vintage Inches on Hoxton FM and CIUT, he brings (along with his resonant and deeply soothing voice) the finest in 50′s and 60′s party music, all on original vinyl: Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Surf, Garage, Frat and Beat as well as some modern slices of wax that carry on the wild spirit of this essential music. He sometimes even tells little stories in between songs, or narrates soundtracks to films that have never existed.
