I asked him and he said yes, you can talk to me, so I recently chatted with Chris Helme, former frontman, songwriter and bloody nice bloke from John Squire’s band The Seahorses.
We had a couple of drinks, used the c word a very lot, learned about life after being in a massive indie band, his upcoming new album and talked about things and stuff for the next “Why am I doing this?” episode.
So keep an ear or two out for that, as it will be coming very soon.
In the meantime, if you’ve not listened already….
The interview below with Sice from indie greats, the Boo Radleys would be a good thing for whenever you’d like to give your ears some food.
Here are just a few reviews of “Why am I doing this?” from actual real people:
“Excellent podcast for anyone into the comedy and music culture of the last 40 years. Received wisdom says this started in the 1960s but this podcast is about how it really got going in the 1980s.
Thank you John Peel, thank you Seppi Preston...”
Dour Scot.
“Cracking listen, like 2 pals chatting. Mini discs, 5 disc albums, shut the bloody door. Seppi was really interesting and I'll be listening to the others. It's natural which makes it a good listen. Brilliant.”
Wendy A.
“Excellent. He seems like a bloody nice fella. Great interview.”
Pat Feeney.
“Brilliant stuff. Just felt like two mates talking! Really interesting discussion.”
Andy Stephen.
