Welcome to My Journey!

Hi, I am Kat and welcome to my art diary. I’ve considered myself a crafter since I was a child. As I raised my daughter, we spent more afternoons creating than cleaning. As she grew I wanted to save and record those moments and I started scrapbooking. Scrapbooking led me to an addiction to paper that stays with me today. Scrapbooking also lead to cardmaking and, well now, to exploring other mediums that incorporate paper.

Saying you’re a crafter is easy but saying you’re an artist, well, that is more difficult. I created this page because I want to inspire and help others be brave about their art. I’m excited to be learning new techniques, and the jury is out on whether or not what I create is art. The point of this page is just to inspire you to get your hands dirty and have fun, try something new and be proud of what you create. I hope you will share what you create here too. Fresh Designs for Life is a supportive community. It is free from politics, religion, and judgment, let’s keep it that way.

This page is an exploration of art techniques, doodles, cardmaking, scrapbooking, and paper crafting. Who knows there may be some dabbling and ramblings off-topic because as I follow this journey I have found that once you unlock creativity it unlocks you.
