We are very excited to announce that the dazzling Cassandra Jenkins is joining us, announcing her upcoming album My Light My Destroyer. Driven by a curiosity towards the quarks and quasars that make up her universe, Cassandra blends field recording with poetic lyricism that is at turns allusive, humorous, devastating, and confessional.

The first track from the album, “Only One,” with an accompanying video directed by Lydia Fine and Tony Blahd, softly ushers in the dawn of a new era, reminiscent of the city street textures of legendary pop group Blue Nile.

Before the release of A LA SALA, the album could only be heard through the glowing headphones given to the selectees gathered at LA VENTANA, a series of early album listening experiences curated by Khruangbin at James Turrell Skyspaces.

Today, MRCY announces their debut project, VOLUME 1, coming May 10th. This revelatory announcement is made alongside the new single release, “R.L.M.” The song is the first the band ever wrote and serves as a mission statement for the group.

The duo will play a sold-out headline show at London’s Lower Third on June 11th and have now added an additional date on Nov. 14th at Jazz Cafe. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Ahead of the album release, fans in select cities will have a chance to attend an early listening session of Khruangbin’s new album 'A LA SALA' inside four James Turrell Skyspaces. Attendees will utilize headphones for an inward listening experience with the Skyspace illuminating at sunset as the visual accompaniment.

The series will take place at Twilight Epiphany in partnership with The Moody Center for the Arts at Rice University in Houston, TX, on March 19; The Color Inside at Landmarks at The University of Texas in Austin, TX, on March 21 and 22; Dividing the Light at Benton Museum of Art at Pomona College in Claremont, CA, on March 29; and Greet the Light at Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting in Philadelphia, PA, on April 4.

Today MRCY shares their second track, ”Flowers in Mourning", a meditation on love and loss that pays tribute to the duo's musical and cultural roots, blending Afrobeat rhythms with influences of dub and Northern Soul.

MRCY also announces details of their inaugural live shows, with a headline date at London’s Lower Third on June 11th (tickets go on sale Friday at 10AM), as well as performances for this year’s Great Escape, Forwards, Green Man, and End of the Road festivals!

To focus on the mythology of Bill is to distract from what’s truly special: Bill Fay writes music with the honesty and clarity of a person with much to say but nothing to prove, and in doing so delivers songs of remarkable beauty and confidence. The Bill Fay Group, in particular, is Fay’s most significant collaborative work; he records as a member of a larger group here, and the result summons a grander sonic scale, an elegant counterweight to Fay’s instincts for the understated.

RELEASED TODAY 'Tomorrow Tomorrow and Tomorrow' brings to bear the galactic qualities of early rock, the intricacy of jazz improv, and Fay’s earthy folk magic. For whatever might be going on amongst the instruments, Fay’s lyrics almost inevitably come back to nature, and to a matter-of-factness about love and loving that gives his work even more depth and power.

Today duo MRCY makes their Dead Oceans debut with the mesmerizing single "Lorelei," Consisting of producer Barney Lister and vocalist Kojo Degraft-Johnson, MRCY's sound is a blend Marvin Gaye's timeless warmth and the contemporary vibes of Khruangbin, Anderson .Paak, and Sault. "Lorelei" captures the essence of a doomed romance, drawing inspiration from the mythical creature's tale. Their music, shaped during a Brixton meetup between lockdowns, combines soulful vocals, psychedelic vibes, and nostalgic arrangements for a timeless yet contemporary feel.Barney has established himself as one of the UK’s most in-demand, eclectic young producers; ranging from an Ivor Novello Award for his long-standing collaboration with Obongjayar to artists like Joy Crookes and Olivia Dean. Khruangbin returns today with the announcement of their new album A LA SALA (“To the Room” in Spanish) out April 5th. This will be the bands fourth studio album first LP in four years out April 5th on Dead Oceans in partnership with Night Time Stories Ltd.

The band releases their first single “A Love International,” a reflective and celebratory track that poses subtle questions about the surreal nature of art’s representation and one’s own reality.

Pre-sale for the newly announced North American dates is through a lottery.
Lottery sign up is now open for the Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto shows. Sign ups end Sept 10th. If selected, your lottery invite will be sent out beginning Sept 13th.
Mexico City is on sale now, immediately.

Join alongside other Mitski fans in a special intimate setting to be the first to hear her new album “The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We” on Thu, Sept 7th. Each event is a Music & Film Double Feature that includes an early listen to the entire album in total darkness, followed by a film screening selected by Mitski for the occasion. Tickets are extremely limited and available now at http://mitski.com

The Tokyo event will be held Thu, Sept 14th at the Cosmo Planetarium Shibuya will have visuals provided by the planetarium alongside the music with no film afterwards.

Tickets must be purchased in advance to attend. All tickets include a limited edition poster created exclusively for the series which will be handed out at the event.

Please arrive no earlier than the designated time provided by the venue. Early queuing is not permitted. Note: This is not a performance, and Mitski will not be in attendance.
