Troy planning commission approves new City Station North plan - The Alt

TROY — The city planning commission last week approved a reconfigured site plan for United Group’s City Station North, now conceived as a four-story, 87-unit apartment complex with 40,000 square feet of Class A office space at Sixth Ave. and Congress St. The new project will supplant a large, vacant warehouse that once housed the Capital District Economic Opportunity Center. The project now features 87 apartments and a ground floor largely made up of parking spaces.

Price Chopper eyes ‘future development’ in Lansingburgh - The Alt

An entity related to supermarket chain Price Chopper’s parent company, the Golub Corporation, has submitted a proposal to the city of Troy to acquire 867 Second Ave in Lansingburgh, a half-acre, waterfront lot that is currently the site of an old, dilapidated home. Luke Stoddard Nathan. .

The supermarket chain is seeking to purchase a city-owned lot for $52,500.

Troy salt pile may be relocated - The Alt

C.D. Perry, which owns the site of a large salt pile near the Poesten Kill, is considering relocating the mound to a South Troy industrial area, though the move depends “on rail access and a few other factors we wish not to disclose,” general manager Tyler Fane said in an email on Friday. Uncle Sam Trail extension celebrated - The Alt

“With this connection, people in the city of Troy will be able to access the Watervliet-Albany trail without having to put the bike on the car and schlep it over to Watervliet, unpack it, and ride down,” Mayor Patrick Madden said.

The new route links the underutilized Uncle Sam Trail in North Central and Lansingburgh to the Menands Bridge.
