Everyone isn’t the best client for you!

I can’t stress this enough. Just because you contact someone or someone contacts you, that doesn’t mean they’re an automatic fit. Oftentimes, if you’re doing something right, some people setup consultations just to learn who you are, what you do, and how they can do the same. Or, a potential client may not know what they want at all which can cause both of you to become frustrated down the line should you take them on. While guidance and advice are key components of being a great consultant, selecting clients who aren’t receptive to change, that don’t know what they want or are unable to articulate their needs, might not be the best client for your business.

It’s Funding Friday. Let’s get into it.

This gives you a more diverse portfolio than if you were buying individual stocks (which are also great options and create a fabulous wealth portfolio).

Think you can’t afford to buy stocks/shares? Think again. There are hundreds of options for low cost/affordable index funds like Fidelity 500 Index Fund, Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF, and Vanguard 500 Index Fund Admiral Shares (VFIAX).

Don’t be afraid of stocks, bonds, and other investments. We highly encourage you to take a class, and/or consult with a reputable and vetted accountant, investment advisor, or other trusted financial expert.

Beauty products entrepreneur Lisa Price was born on May 18, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York. She is the founder of Carol’s Daughter, one of the first African American-owned product lines with a flagship store. Carol’s Daughter, established in May 1993 in Brooklyn, New York City, was acquired by L’Oréal USA in October 2014.

Today for Women’s History Month we honor and celebrate Mary Spio.

Mary Spio is a deep space engineer, tech innovator and entrepreneur. She is the CEO and founder of CEEK Virtual Reality. Born and raised in Ghana, At the age of 16 years she moved to Syracuse, New York and attended Syracuse University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering in 1998. She later pursued a Master’s Degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Spio served in the U.S. Air force for 6 years as a wideband and satellite communications technician. After her service in the air force she moved to work with a at a satellite communications firm and had the opportunity of designing and launching satellites into deep space on a NASA project. She subsequently became the head of satellite communication systems for The Boeing Corporation.

In 2015, Spio founded the CEEK Virtual Reality platform, which currently runs as a streaming service for virtual events which enables live events and helps content creators to reach their fans and users through virtual means including virtual reality headsets, gaming consoles, mobile phones, tablets, desktops, laptops and Smart TVs.

Amina J. Mohammed (born 27 June 1961) is a British Nigerian diplomat and politician who is serving as the fifth Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations.
