And just like that, Academic Year 2023-2024 has officially come to an end. 🙌🏻

After almost a year of hardwork, late nights and efforts, the academic year has finally come to an end.

A huge appreciation to our wonderful teachers. Thank you for your unwavering dedication, patience, and guidance. Your passion for teaching has inspired us to strive for excellence and reach new heights. Your support and encouragement have been a source of strength for us throughout the year.

To our lovely Adviser, Mrs. Hanah Garcia De Leon, we really appreciate you for being our MOTHER this academic year. We really appreciate the times we spend together even if it's only for a short time. Thank you po for the memories we had experience with you, it will surely remain in our minds and hearts.

8 SPJ Romulo, cheers to everything we’ve accomplished together. Remember that each of us has unique talent and potential. Keep striving for your best, stay curious, and never stop venturing the path to success.

BALITA | Pambansang Dambana ng Divina Pastora, Isang Ganap na Minor Basilica na
ni: Keanne B. Parungao at Leigh Yzabel G. Constantino

Pormal nang idineklara ang Pambansang Dambana ng La Virgen Divina Pastora at Parokya ng Tatlong Hari ng Gapan City bilang isang ganap na Basilica Minore noong Abril 26.

Ibinalita ni Most Rev. Bishop Sofronio A. Bancud, SSS, DD, sa kaniyang pastoral letter ang pagtatalaga ng Santo Papa sa centuries-old na simbahan bilang kauna-unahang Minor Basilica sa Nueva Ecija.

Ang pagiging ganap na Basilica Minore ng isang simbahan ay magiging daluyan ng mga biyaya na katumbas ng St. Mary Major Basilica sa Roma at maaari rin itong maging destinasyon ng mga Katolikong nagbibisita Iglesia.

Sinimulan ang misa ng deklarasyon sa naturang espesyal na okasyon sa pangunguna ni Archbishop Charles John Brown, DD, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines kasama ang iba pang Obispo, Kaparian, at ang mga nagtaguyod sa misang ito.

Isinabay ito sa selebrasyon ng ika-60 anibersaryo ng Canonical Coronation ng Imahe ng La Virgen Divina Pastora at sa ika-38 anibersaryo ng pagkakadeklara sa simbahan bilang isang Pambansang Dambana.

Inatasan naman ni Most Rev. Bishop Bancud ang rector ng bagong Basilica na si Rev. Fr. Aldrin Domingo na siguraduhing ang mga deboto ay ‘properly catechized’ at ang simbahan ay ‘specially prepared’ para sa napakahalagang okasyong iyon.

Batay sa kasaysayan, itinayo ang Simbahan noong taong 1590, at itinuturing na pinakamatanda at pinakamalaking Spanish Colonial Church sa lalawigan at idineklara naman bilang Pambansang Dambana noong ika-26 ng Abril, 1986.

Pinangalanan ito ng mga prayle bilang “Virgen Divina Pastora” dahil ang kapaligiran ng Gapan ay nagsisilbing malawak na pastulan ng iba’t ibang uri ng hayop.

Nakamit na kaalaman nang may kasiyahan.

Isang hindi malilimutang karanasan ang naramdaman ng isang advenTOURistang mag-aaral sa isinagawang educational tour ng Juan R. Liwag Memorial High School noong Abril 20, 2024.

Sa bawat destinasyong napuntahan, panibagong kaalaman sa bawat lugar ang natuklasan.

Matapos ang mahabang panahon ng paghihirap sa sari-sariling tahanan kaharap ang mga kuwaderno at lapis sa pagsasagot ng mga modyul noong panahon ng pandemya, muling isinagawa ang lakbay-aral sa iba't ibang lugar sa Maynila.

Nanariwa sa puso at isipan ng bawat JRLians ang mga butil at kaalaman tungkol sa kasaysayan ng bansa nang kanilang pinuntahan ang Museo El Deposito at ang Museo ng Katipunan.

Kaalamang pang-agham na an ang hatid ng hindi mabilang na kagamitan at karunungan tungkol sa siyensiya ang bumungad sa kanila sa pagpasok sa bulwagan ng Mind Museum.

Habang pinagmamasdan ang mga lumang kagamitan sa mga museum, hindi maikakaila ang labis na paghanga at pagkamangha ng bawat isa kung paano naisagawa ang mga nasabing bagay na bukod sa nakatatalas na ng isipan ay nakapagdudulot pa ng masayang karanasan sa lahat.

Magkahalong tuwa, pananabik, at pagod naman ang naramdaman ng bawat isa sa pinakahuling destinasyon, ang Enchanted Kingdom.

Hindi alintana ng lahat ang mahabang pila sa bawat rides na gustong masakyan. Buong tiyagang hinintay ng bawat isa ang kanilang pagkakataong makasakay sa space shuttle, roller coaster, drop tower, ferris wheel at iba pa.

May mga palabas ding 4D tulad ng Rialto at Agila kung saan tila kasama ng napapanood sa screen ang mga nanonood nito.

Tunay na walang mapagsidlan ang kaligayahang nadama ng bawat at nakatulong ito upang makabuo ng masasayang alaala kasama ang mga kaeskwela at mga g**o.

Sadyang masaya ang pagkakamit ng kaalaman nang minsan kaming maging isang TOURista.

Good day, JRLians!

Today, we would like to announce here the 16 students of 8 Spj-Romulo who all got the title of “Honors” for the Third Quarter year 2023-2024.

Maintaining high grades is never easy. Imagine the pressure we put on ourselves just to feel worthy. We gave our best and worked hard for this award, just to make ourselves and our loved ones proud. Our sleepless nights and stress moments has paid off this quarter.

Congratulations to everyone for this well-deserved recognition! Always believe in yourself and your ability to succeed. Remember that we have unique abilities and capabilities, keep going and don’t be scared to make errors, you’ll learn from them.

Maligayang Kaarawan, Ma’am De Leon! 🥳🥂

It’s just a few months since we met and you accepted us already as your “second child” and as our “second mother”. It's funny to think that even though we've only spent a little time together, we already made a lot of good memories and bondings inside our classroom.

At first, we really are nervous to meet you because of the thought that you are a very very strict adviser and that we will probably won’t get along that well. But when the days past, we all saw that we were getting good along (like super duper), the realization hit us for real that it was just our hunch and the truth is that you are a super duper caring, loving, kind and funny adviser, but that strictness of yours will never go away because of your concern for us.

We are always gonna be grateful that we have an adviser who treats us like her own child, with genuine love and unending support.

Wishing you a most joyous and fulfilling birthday! On your special day, we want to express our warmest gratitude to you for the life lessons and wonderful teachings you had impart on us.

8 SPJ ROMULO CELEBRATION | 12-13-23

As the month of Christmas and the final month of the year began, Romulo held its year-end party 2023! The day was filled with excitement and memories with our beautiful teacher, Ma’am Hanah! ❤️✨

The rest of the day was filled with entertaining activities. Playing games 🎮, exchanging gifts 🎁, and eating 😋

Words can’t express the joy and gratitude we feel after such a heartwarming day filled with love, laughter, and the togetherness. This will surely stick to our hearts and minds! 🤩🥳

Happy Teachers Day To All Of The Teachers Out There

We thank you for all of the inspiring words, confidence, and the for the never ending quote, "mag-aaral ng mabuti,". You are one of our inspirations in studying, a role model, even a parent. Thank you for your unconditional support.

Being a teacher is hard, it really is. The never ending paperworks, everyday lesson plans, teaching the students everyday for hours without a break, many sleepless nights, and even a low salary. Do they deserve this treatment?

No. That's why we should treat our teachers better. When we're struggling because of school works, they also struggle because of workload. Teachers are not robots, they have their own families. How do they get to finish all of those works while taking care of their families?

That’s why we need to appreaciate the efforts of all of the Teachers in this world. They receive super little compared to what they give.

Even though there are some who doesn’t appreciate their Teachers just because they want to play. Doesn’t mean that we should too. Our teachers are one of our mentor and guide who is also a key that will help us achieve success in our lives.

Thank you for always inspiring us to follow our dreams and encouraging us to never give up.
