In this video, we're going to talk about Web3 vs. Web5.

Okay, I know what you guys are thinking, but let me explain. The name "Web5" is just a marketing gimmick and it has nothing to do with Web3 and all the innumerable s**t coins that populate it.
In fact, Web5 is a new set of web protocols with no tokens, which intends to solve a very practical problem, the ownership of data and identity.

Now, what does this have to do with Bitcoin? After all, this is a strictly Bitcoin YouTube channel. Well, in this video I wanna explain to you what the Web5 thing is and how Bitcoin fits into all of it.

In my recent videos, I have been talking about a Bitcoin lightning node project that I am taking on with a few members of the Kwa-Meyi, Sterkspruit Village in South Africa. I was contacted by David “Abdeee” Busakwe - a member of the tribe who now lives in Johannesburg, who had told me that he really sees amazing potential for using Lightning Network to transform the lives of folks in his village.

In today's video, it's gonna be a little bit of a different as I'm not sharing a tutorial, but rather letting you all know of a really exciting project that I'm doing, to help spur Bitcoin Lightning Network adoption out in the real world, change some lives and hopefully help a lot of people who could really benefit.

If we really want Bitcoin Lightning Network to grow in adoption, we need to actually USE it in the real world... right? But up until now, that has meant using a custodial lightning network wallet, OR, if you run your own Bitcoin node via Umbrel, RaspiBlitz, etc, and risking your ENTIRE lightning network balance by accessing the FULL node over Tor...
..But not anymore!

In this video, I'm going to show you a simple method for creating a limited-permissions, limited-funds lightning network wallet that custodies funds on your own Bitcoin lightning network node, and how you can connect to it from anywhere. You can use this method to create a lightning network wallet for friends and family, too. Best of all, it's completely safe, because your funds are on YOUR OWN Bitcoin node... but accessed via your iPhone or Android (or any other device).

This method will work with Umbrel, RaspiBlitz, Citadel, MyNode, or anything else that allows you to install LNBits. It also will cover iPhone and Android.

With the recent big crypto news (the Ethereum merge and the switch to proof of stake), there has already been media coverage of how Ethereum has become even more centralized than it was before…

This has caused ETH fanboys to start criticizing BTC in their never-ending obsession of "the flippening" - where Ethereum overtakes Bitcoin. (Never going to happen, lol).

But, in one such criticism, a prominent crypto and ETH supporter questioned... Is Bitcoin actually as decentralized as we believe it is? Or as some people like to claim, do a handful of parties control Bitcoin (BTC)?

In this video I am going to break it down, explain the argument as to why Bitcoin is centralized, and come to a conclusion that you can verify yourself. Check it out, and maybe consider sending it to your favorite ETH bag-holder.

In a previous wildly popular video, I listed out all the reasons why you should be running your very own Bitcoin node, using something like Umbrel, MyNode, or RaspiBlitz. And in that video, I didn't stop to consider one very important question: what (if anything) are you actually contributing to the Bitcoin network by running a bitcoin full node?

I decided to do this video not only to encourage more of you to run your own Bitcoin node (because clearly, based on my previous "why you run your own Bitcoin lightning node," I've done a good enough job of that. I did it because I myself was curious - and also, because I've been deeply embroiled in a Twitter Battle with BitcoinSV / BSV retards, who think that there's no real reason to run a Bitcoin full node, and don't believe in Lightning Network. *Sighh...* but that's another topic for another day.

In any case, stick around, because in this video, I'm going to explain all the actual ways that you contribute to the Bitcoin network when you run a Bitcoin full node. So if you're considering setting up a MyNode, RaspiBlitz, Citadel, Start9, or Umbrel Bitcoin Node, you won't want to miss this.

By the way, Bitcoin SV (BSV) is a s**tcoin. Don't believe anyone who tells you Bitcoin SV is the "real" Bitcoin.

Once upon a time, there was only one, clear, "best Bitcoin hardware wallet" - because there were only a few Bitcoin hardware wallets on the market!

But these days, there are MORE and MORE crypto hardware wallets on the market every day. So figuring out which is the best bitcoin wallet for you can be tricky.

For years, I've known that the stock market is B.S. Now, I'm putting my money where my mouth. is.

After many, many years of deliberation, hem hawing, and begging my wife, I finally exited the market and sold pretty much my entire stock portfolio... and I'm putting it into Bitcoin

I know that right now is literally the WORST time to sell, because the market is at pretty much record lows, but in this video I'm going to explain why I did it, and why I feel like right now is the BEST time to buy Bitcoin... even though the Bitcoin price has gone up.. despite the "Bitcoin crash." And DESPITE all the latest Bitcoin news.

(Realistically, I buy no matter what the Bitcoin Price, and most Bitcoin News only makes me MORE Bullish!)

I'll also give you thoughts to help YOU determine: "should I buy Bitcoin," stocks vs. bitcoin, and bitcoin vs. real estate, based on YOUR situation (not investment advice, just experience sharing), and explain my thoughts on the benefits and downsides of real estate vs. Bitcoin.
