Tawanda Vombo is an author, screenwriter and poet from Harare. He has been shortlisted in the Intwasa Short Story Competition (2021) and the Literary Editors Africa Competition(2022).

In 2022 he published his first work, the NAMA nominated historical fiction book, called Monomotapa. In 2023 he got selected for the iDraft Screenwriting Workshop and the Almasi Screenwriting Intensive Workshop with Emmy nominated writer and producer of 'The Walking Dead', Matt Negrette. He continues to write screenplays, short stories, poems and novels
