DID YOU KNOW? The photo behind almost every Signal to Noise Instagram promo was taken accidentally, either with my phone in my pants, coming out of my pocket, or going back into my pocket after taking a picture, usually at a show. I take such sh*tty pictures that the accidental ones come out best. MONDAY NIGHT: a new episode of Signal to Noise, a bit more guitar-y, with a MVF song I've been dying to play on the air for a decade and finally found a radio station that understands "safe harbor." 10pm til midnight, WGXC.

The archive of our first show on WGXC is now up on Mixcloud for your listening (dis)pleasure. Since WGXC digitally archives its programs much more quickly, the Mixcloud page can be updated with greater frequency and more quickly after the show airs, as long as the guy who updates this page commits to it. We'll see.

On November 13, Signal to Noise removed itself from its place of residence. That request came from me. Deep down, I knew it was right. But I also knew that some day, I will return there to fill in for some DJ that can't make their airshift. With nowhere else to go, I appeared at the weirdest/coolest...

Happy to announce that Signal to Noise is moving to the amazing WGXC! Starting on Monday you'll be able to hear the program on the second, fourth, and fifth (when there is one) Monday of every month, from 10pm til midnight. Super stoked to be joining such a great community of adventurous broadcasters, and even more stoked to join so many friends and supportive folks on the coolest, weirdest radio station I know. Can not wait!

TUESDAY NIGHT: THE FINAL EPISODE OF SIGNAL TO NOISE

I am so thankful to the staff at WIOX for giving me the opportunity to move Signal to Noise from NYC/NJ to New York State. I love WIOX, and it’s been an absolute blast being a part of the station for the past two years. Special thanks to Rob Wilcox for making the introductions to the station management, and to the great Peter Mayer for having the greatest show on the radio with his excellent “Graffiti Dog Super Art Now” program, which has aired just after Signal to Noise each week. Peter is a great conversationalist, an amazing artist, and a legendary weirdo who I hope to cross paths with again, many times.

Tune in to the final show on WIOX Tuesday night, keep me company, and let’s make some noise.

Going forward, Signal to Noise will continue on a new home that makes more sense for this program. More info to come.
