Soundclick 25th Anniversary Song Challenge - Submission Info & Rules Jul 4
Submit early to avoid the last minute rush!
You can submit links to your songs from today July 4th 2022 until midnight New York time on August 5th 2022 (see https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/new-york for time check).
PLEASE FOLLOW THE SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:
1. Log in to your Soundclick account.
2. Upload the song to your artist page (menu, artist admin, artist, music, add song)
3. Check to make sure it is the correct song & it plays without errors.
4. Please make the song available for FREE DOWNLOAD until the contest is over (this is to ensure the judges can be sent unidentified tracks).
5. You may not amend or replace the song file once you have submitted it to the contest - any changes will lead to disqualification.
6. Please do not delete the song once you have submitted it.
7. Go to your artist/music page & hit the menu tab next to your song (3 horizontal dots)
8. Choose Song page from the menu.
9. Copy the Song page web address from your browser - this will be the link to your song. (Alternatively play song & hit the share button to find the link)
10. Please test the link - make sure the address you have goes to the Song page for your song.
11. Paste the web address/link in the COMMENTS BOX BELOW THIS BLOG.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION
1. Once we have seen the link to your song in the blog comments box, your song will be added to the Soundclick 25th Anniversary Player which will be kept private until the contest is closed.
2. Your song will also be added to our list & submitted for judging by Song Challenge experts. Your link will then be deleted from the blog comments box.
3. Clickers Club will acknowledge your song via your song comments box - please check to ensure receipt.
4. If you do not receive acknowledgement within 24 hours, please do not send another link. Instead contact Rodrica via the User Posts section on this page.
5. Our expert judges along with Soundclick Staff will shortlist 6 songs from which the Soundclick founders will choose the 3 finalists.
6. The Soundclick 25th Anniversary Player detailing all the entries will appear on the Clickers Club members page blog on August 6th 2022
7. We aim to announce the 3 finalists on August 13th 2022, but reserve the right to extend that date should the judges require extra time. We will also reveal the identity of our expert judges & provide you with a short biography for each.
A REMINDER OF THE COMPETITION & RULES
Can YOU come up with a GREAT Soundclick Anniversary song? The Challenge is OPEN TO ALL SOUNDCLICK MEMBERS, and it's FREE! Soundclick owners, Tanju & Tolgar Canli, are generously offering some FANTASTIC PRIZES:
- the first 3 artists get the "Gold" account for the next 25 years
- the winner gets $200 in promo ads
- the runner-up gets $100 in promo ads
- the 3rd place gets $50 in promo ads
1. Songs must be NEW & ORIGINAL compositions, with or without lyrics.
2. You MUST have the word SOUNDCLICK somewhere in the song, either spoken or sung.
3. 1 entry per artist page. Collaborations count as a separate artist (i.e you can enter 1 song on your own and 1 other song with someone else as a separate band). But if you simply use a sample of the word "Soundclick" from another artist, this will NOT be considered a collaboration.
4. Wherever possible, please try to create your own backing tracks. If you do use a purchased or free backer, please provide the necessary credits on your song page details if the copyright holder requires you to do so.
5. Please try to keep the songs hidden on your Soundclick artist page until the August 6th & follow submission instructions detailed above.
6. Deadline will be midnight New York time August 5th 2022.
