The more electricity something uses, the more heat is generated in the wiring.

NEVER use power strips or extension cords to power an air conditioner, refrigerator, or anything that draws a lot of power. Anything that uses a lot of power should always be plugged straight into the outlet.

No extension cords. No splitters. No power strips.

Ask anyone who has experienced a fire, and they will tell you they are NOT fun. Zero stars - Would not recommend. Copied from Normal Fire Department

Firefighters from Parkhill, Ailsa Craig, and Thedford responded to a large industrial facility in the town of Parkhill for a reported structure fire shortly after midnight.
Crews arrived on scene to find a large structure partially involved. Unfortunately, despite the effort of firefighters on scene, flames continued to spread throughout the building.
Crews were on scene throughout the night and into the next day dealing with hotspots.
Luckily, the facility was closed at the time and there were no injuries reported in this incident. The cause of the fire has not been released, to my knowledge.

Chatham-Kent Fire, Police and EMS are on scene of a serious multi-vehicle collision in Wallaceburg. McNaughton Ave is closed at Wallace St. Ornge Air Ambulance is en route.

How it started vs how it is now

It’s been six years since I started this page. All kinda started when I was out driving with my dad, and ended up inadvertently finding a small dumpster fire in Sarnia.
Met some great people over these last six years (I could listen them off, but I think they know who they are, lol), hope to meet many more in the years to come.

A man was lead away in handcuffs following a single vehicle collision on Oil Heritage Road in Enniskillen Township on February 18.
A black car could be found out in a farm field, after it spun around and went off the road shortly before 2:00pm. Both the male driver, and a female passenger were uninjured in the crash. Firefighters from the Petrolia & North Enniskillen Fire Department, along with Lambton EMS also responded. At the time of this posting, it’s unclear as to why the man was arrested.

Just after 5:30 in the morning, on November 3, 2022, firefighters from Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department responded alongside Lambton OPP and Lambton EMS to the intersection of Marthaville Road and Churchill Line for an MVC/structure fire.
A vehicle traveling north on Marthaville Road failed to stop at the stop sign, left the roadway, and struck a house just past the intersection. As a result, the vehicle caught fire, which spread to the structure. Fortunately, there were no major injuries as a result of the crash.

Sarnia Police Service, Unit 4, and Port Huron Fire Department (MI) Ladder Co. 3 arriving on scene of a large, well involved residential structure fire at Fairwinds Lodge Retirement Residence on Michigan Line. In total, 4 fire departments responded to the blaze. More footage to come. January 16, 2023

We are sad to share the news that Lewis ‘Bud’ Coray, London Police Service’s first Black officer, has passed away. His work at LPS was transformational and his legacy will live on through the Lewis Coray Award for Youth, that recognizes trailblazers in our community. Our thoughts are with his family during this time.

Yesterday, St. Clair Fire responded to St. Clair Parkway for a structure fire. Firefighters arrived on the scene and immediately commenced fire attack and search and rescue operations. Stations 2, 3 and 6 responded to the incident. The fire was extinguished, and no one was injured. Firefighters were able to save two cats from the home.

St. Clair Fire would like to remind everyone that working smoke alarms can help save lives! Ontario law requires that working smoke alarms be installed on every storey of the home and outside all sleeping areas. In addition to smoke alarms, developing and practicing a home fire escape plan is your best chance of surviving a fire in your home.

Firefighters from Petrolia & North Enniskillen Fire Department, Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department, and Brook Fire & Rescue responded to the area of Lasalle Line and Marthaville Road for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, crews found smoke billowing from the home, and began making entry into the home. Firefighters were on scene into the evening hours. Luckily, no injuries were reported in this incident. November 6, 2022.
