PIU-Udhampur, NHAI under Regional Office-Jammu has organised a Swachhta Run of 05 kms from Gole Mela to Battal Ballian on NH-44 as one of the key pillars for mass public participation (Swachhta ki Bhagidaari) on the occasion of Swachhta Hi Sewa (SHS)-2024.
The Flag-off has been conducted by Sh. Ravi Kesar, IFS(Retd.) Joint Advisor(E&P), RO-Jammu in presence of Sh. Amrish Mankar, PD, PIU-Srinagar, Sh. Purshotam Kumar, PD, PIU-Ramban, Sh. Girdhar Gopal Gourav, DGM(Tech.), RO-Jammu and Sh. Anuj Kumar Singh, PD, PIU-Udhampur.
The Swachhta Run Winner in Male Category is Sh. Akshay, 1st Runner-up is Sh. Raghav Sharma and 2nd Runner-up is Sh. Ajay Kumar and in Female Category the Winner is Ms. Kajal, 1st Runner-up Ms. Anjali Rajput and 2nd Runner-up is Ms. Isha Sharma. Approximately 170 participants participated in the Swachhta Run comprising of Children, Youngsters and Senior Citizens from SMVDSB-Katra, District Youth Services & Sports-Udhampur, Open Public, NHAI Officers, Consultants and Contractors of NHAI.
The Prize to the winners has been distributed by the Chief Guest of the event Sh. Radhey Shyam Yadav, Regional Officer-J&K, NHAI alongwith message to the Society about the awareness of holistic approach towards cleanliness & hygienic environment.
