Accidental Concussion Films Accidental Concussion is an up-and-coming production company founded in 2013 by Michael Viers and Am

From their humble beginnings in 2013, Accidental Concussion Films has cast aside the mainstream belief that a large budget and massive special effects is the key to a film worth seeing. Rather, these outsider filmmakers strive to resurrect the old school belief that it is the story itself that makes a worthy film that will connect personally with their audiences. Accidental Concussions has produce

d a number of short films, including the award-winning "From the Darkness Theatre", as well as the music video for "Never What it Seems" by Milwaukee based band The Directionals.

Merry Christmas everyone! As a special treat for everyone that has stuck beside me through the long, arduous process that is Do You Love Me?, here's a special teaser trailer. I know it's been a long, long road and I love and respect all the patience you've all had. Trust me when I say the film is almost done and it's going to be so cool

I think we all made a great film, and it's something I'm very proud of. Valerie Dewi Lighthart, thanks again for trusting me with your script.

Happy Holidays!

Also, lets all thank Kyle Arpke for the teaser.

Remembering Tom Towles.

Social media is a wonderful thing; it connects us to so many people, places and things. However, it does have its downsides. Nothing we see seems to carry any significance and it has little effect on our day-to-day lives. Instagram is overrun by food and animal pics, Twitter is full of mico-rants an…

Bored? Looking for some recommendations for things to watch? Well here's Michael Viers media diet for February.

Time for another Media Diet! As you can see this month I was really into the television show “Hannibal” and the “Halloween” franchise. I was so into “Halloween” that I sat down and watched both the Theatrical Cut AND the Producer’s Cut as well as a number of films about the making of these films.

Accidental Concussion doesn't just make their own films, on occasion they'll do some Post-Production work for other companies and studios. Our most recent endeavor was with Troma Entertainment to help celebrate the NY Museum of Modern Art adding "Return of Nuke 'Em High, Vol. 1" to their illustrious Contender's Series.

To quote the MoMA website, here's what the Contender Series is for all of those who are unaware:

"Every year there are films that resonate far beyond a theatrical release—if they manage to find their way to a commercial screen at all—or film festival appearance. Their significance can be attributed to a variety of factors, from structure to subject matter to language, but these films are united in their lasting impact on the cinematic art form. For this recurring series, the Department of Film combs through major studio releases and the top film festivals in the world, selecting influential, innovative films made in the past 12 months that we believe will stand the test of time. Whether bound for awards glory or destined to become a cult classic, each of these films is a contender for lasting historical significance, and any true cinephile will want to catch them on the big screen."

In January of 2014, The Modern Museum Of Art in New York City opened it's doors to Troma, as Return To Nuke 'Em High VOL. 1 made it into the museum's "The Co...

Another year has come and gone. It is now time to list my favorite films of 2014. When I make a list like this, I tackle it slightly different: I’m not choosing what I feel are the best films, but rather what were something special to me. When I’m sitting in a theatre or on my couch, it’s rare that…

While logging footage, we like to listen to instrumental music or film scores. It can really set the mood.

So help us out, what are some of YOUR favorite film scores or instrumental pieces?

Starting a new editing project for Canal Productions. Be sure to keep your eye out for more info!

We needed some inspiration while working on the Do You Love Me? edit, so we're pumping the "Interstellar" score in through the speakers as we review footage.

We here at Accidental Concussion are saddened by the news that Corey Mitchell has passed away, the head of the Housecore Horror Film Festival in Texas. He was a friend to Accidental Concussion and a big supporter of our film "From the Darkness Theatre".
