When you decide to be a little less selfish, you can just sit there, you shut your damn mouth, and you get to listen to everything else speak...

Hear the grass dancing in the wind. The sea proudly playing its music. The faint giggles from nearby thrillseekers. Dogs barking echoes in distant paths. It's a big world, and you're nothing but a speck of dust in it. Love yourself a little and bask as much as you can in it.

Took a little hike by myself along a steep but beautiful terrain. I think it's important to take some time alone and be able to enjoy your own company (although I've taken the trip with some amazing people). Learn how to see your own value, because how can you offer yourself to others if you can't even offer it to your own self. Be kind, be genuinely encouraging, be loving to everyone, including your own.

The highlight reels are always the moments that happened in between the shots. The unrecorded life that unfolded. The candid faces we made. The stories we told and shared and heard. The unplanned moments. The inside jokes. The food we inhaled. The drinks that got us funnier. The life we breathed. And the only real proof are NOT these photos, but the memories embedded in our minds. I wish I could tell you all that these photos are representative of the experiences we had but it's not. The real joy can never be captured and truly shared unless you lived those moments. ❤️🇵🇭😊

Raaaa releasing turtle hatchlings into the sea was a bucket list I never knew I have on the actual list. These Lil ones are guarded and monitored by a local government environmental conservation group (some are volunteers who used to be poachers of these tiny creatures) in a protected area here in the Philippines. Due to global warming, they need more guidance and watching over as the climate changes, which affects their natural instincts when mating and hatching. In 35 years, these little turtles (if they survive nature), will come back to this very same spot to hatch their own eggs.

To get lost in a beautiful strange city is a privilege that not everyone are lucky to be able to do. Even I don't get to do this as often as I would love to. So I vowed to fill up my days with adventures: be it taking on silent journeys that drifts me away from a boring mindless shift to an endless wonder in the stories I read; or composing my own world that no one else gets to explore. I've decided that life will not be a series of annual fun throwbacks and sh*tty days in between.

Every day is an opportunity to be either happy or sad. I choose happy.

Italy truly is one of the cradles of western art and aesthetics. To say it was beautiful surely is an understatement. Their food tastes of pride and culture that predates our grandfathers. The architecture screams "I'm different and IDGAF". The love for their own products and local craftsmanship reflects their nationalistic tendencies. The language is expressive, and unapologetically romantic, almost treated like a dance: spoken with the whole body, and not just with their mouths. The experience was unique, overwhelming at times, and eye-opening - only made better with the company I had. One of the highlights of my year for sure. And will definitely come back.

I think it is imperative to one's growth to go out and explore the world (a tiny speck of dust in relation to all that is), and not just to bask in it's perfection, but to fall in love with all its faults and to learn it's ways. Be reminded that we have been handed a beautiful, fragile, delicious slice of life, and to realise that it is your "god-given" right to savour every bit of crumb of it before it expires.
