Denver-based Bikes Together, a 501c3 nonprofit bike shop, community space, and driver for change is creating their own path to promote equitable bike access and education for all. Beginning in the mid-1990s, Bikes Together was created when a group of Denver residents joined with a desire to use bicycles to create alternatives to youth gang involvement and substance misuse, all while promoting exercise and fun. In 2005, LiveWell Colorado’s Park Hill Thriving Communities supported taking the bike club one step further, and with their helping hand the official 501cs nonprofit was formed: The Park Hill Bike Depot. Today they are a full service bike shop offering classes, parts, recycling, community, and much more. Head to our for the full story!
