Wow... one of the most powerful photographs I have seen. We as Black people need more positive images like this. I’m 65 years old and have never, never, ever seen this photo before. That’s how effective white media is at keeping positive images of black people out of the main stream. Afro Sheen was a product sold in the late 60’s and 70’s. He probably couldn’t saturate the market because publications where probably trying to charge him way too much money to run his adds (remember, there was no “internet” back then).

Y'all may think ill of me, but I just posted this in some bodies comments on a post I was just reading, what are your thoughts on it:

"I was gonna say something else, until I read those comments on your post... listen, you ladies would have a man like this guy if you didn't kick every guy out that you where with because his money ran out, or he wasn't being successful fast enough... relationships are about sticking it out "through the good times and the bad". Do you want a man??? Then be some bodies woman. Do you want to "have" something? Then "be about something". Doing something worthwhile takes a lot of effort, and their is a lot of struggle in the beginning... wether it's a business or a "relationship" the same principles apply. Pick something (or somebody) and commit to it (them)... that's the real truth... stick together."
