A long throw back Thursday episode. I believe this is the longest episode we ever recorded. The story of a 193” buck I killing over 5 years ago. This story has it all history, sheds and multiple hours in stand. Main message of the episode is your season can change in seconds. So just keep hunting.

This year I struggled to find a buck I wanted to chase and learnt a valuable lesson. No matter how good the property looks, your past encounters or kills it can all change in one hunting season. My best property became my worst property. Without the use of cameras I would have been waiting on a miracle to happen. Wasting hunts in an area where there was no bucks. Cameras don’t tell you the whole story though. What they can do is let you know what’s out there. Don’t be like me and waste hunts. Believe the data your cams are collecting and make a plan. Some people may just see a piece of paper but this is what 5 years of dedication, early mornings, late nights, watching what I eat and discipline looks like. I set a goal 5 years ago to reach 100 pounds of lean mass. I finally made it with 101.2 pounds, From the first scan to the last scan on this sheet there is a year difference. 7 pounds of lean mass in 12 months.

If you have a goal for fitness, health, work it ok if it takes time. In my case it took over 5 years. One day at a time is all you can do. Just keep plugging away and with small steps over time you will get there

This year zero of my last season trail camera data has been accurate to this year. Nothing is the same not even close. I have at least 10 bucks that didn’t show back up this year as well. Is anyone else wondering where there rut bucks are?
