Even though flu season doesn't usually begin until late July, more than 4,000 cases of influenza have already been detected to date, with cases expected to double in the next two or three weeks, according to Health Minister Yvette D’Ath.

FREE flu vaccines are available at your neighbourhood GPs and pharmacies. All Queenslanders aged six months and older are encouraged to get vaccinated.

Masks will become mandatory as of 1:00 a.m. on June 29 but the state government is encouraging everyone to start wearing them now. Masks don't need to be worn whilst driving in your car or when you're out exercising, unless you're with someone who is not from your household.
