GIALLO MOVIE POSTERS VOLUME 2 - Competition! [scroll down for English version]

So langsam rückt die Ankündigung von GIALLO MOVIE POSTERS Volume 2 in greifbare Nähe und ich denke, dass wir Ende Januar schon ganz konkrete News dazu haben werden.

Bis dahin gibt es ein kleines Gewinnspiel, bei dem ihr ein Exemplar von Volume 2 als limitiertes Hardcover gewinnen könnt.

Zur Teilnahme müsst Ihr nur die folgenden Fragen beantworten bzw. schätzen. Wer mit seiner Schätzung am nächsten dran ist, bekommt einen Punkt und wer am Ende die meisten Punkte hat, bekommt das Buch 😉 Bei der Frage nach den Filmen, die auf dem Cover abgebildet sind, gibt es einen Punkt pro richtig genannten Titel. Bei Punktgleichheit mehrerer Teilnehmer entscheidet das Los.

Kleiner Tipp: Auf unserer Website www.giallo-movie-posters.com findet ihr zwar nicht die konkreten Antworten, aber die Inhalte inklusive unserer Giallo-Datenbank dürften hier und da hilfreich sein.

Das Gewinnspiel endet am 30. Januar 2024 um 20:00 Uhr.

Und hier die Fragen:

1. Wie viele verschiedene Filme werden im Hauptteil von GIALLO MOVIE POSTERS Volume 2 behandelt?
2. Wie viele Abbildungen von Filmplakaten u.ä. werden im Hauptteil enthalten sein?

The announcement of GIALLO MOVIE POSTERS Volume 2 is slowly approaching and we'll have some concrete news by the end of January.

Until then, there's a little competition where you can win a copy of Volume 2 as a limited edition hardcover.

To take part, all you have to do is answer or guess the following questions. Whoever is closest with their guess will receive one point for each question and whoever has the most points at the end will receive the book 😉 For the question about the films shown on the cover, one point will be awarded for each correctly named title. If several participants have the same number of points, the winner is drawn by lot.

A little tip: You won't find the specific answers on our website www.giallo-movie-posters.com, but the content, including our giallo database, should be helpful here and there.

The competition ends on 30 January 2024 at 20:00 Central European time.

2. how many illustrations of film posters etc. will be included in the main section?
3. how many pages will the new volume have in total?
4. which years will we cover?

NOW PACKING!!!

The hardcover books arrived an hour ago and we've already started packing them. We are pretty sure that all the hardcovers will be shipped by Friday. Most of them (maybe all of them) will be taken to the post office on Wednesday :)

We send all hardcover orders as a parcel with insurance and tracking, and Lea will add the tracking number to your order once the parcel is on its way. Please note that it can sometimes take up to a day or two for the package to actually show up on tracking.

Good news!

As promised, the printers sent us some photos of the finished hardcoverbooks this morning. The books are now being shrink-wrapped (as I write these lines, they probably already are) and the delivery will be handed over to the shipping company today.

The delivery should be ‘next day’, which refers to working days, so probably Monday. However, as our office is located in a very rural area, it can of course take a day longer (this is not the rule for deliveries to us, but it does happen).

Gute Nachrichten!

Wie versprochen hat uns die Druckerei heute morgen einige Fotos der fertigen Bücher geschickt. Die Bücher werden jetzt eingeschweißt (wenn ich diese Zeilen schreibe, sind sie es wahrscheinlich schon) und die Lieferung wird noch heute an die Spedition übergeben.

Die Lieferung soll "next day" erfolgen, wobei sich das auf Werktage bezieht, also voraussichtlich Montag. Da unser Büro aber in einer sehr ländlichen Gegend liegt, kann es natürlich auch mal einen Tag länger dauern (das ist bei Lieferungen an uns nicht die Regel, kommt aber vor).

Hallo zusammen!

der Versand der Hardcover-Ausgabe wird sich leider um ein paar Tage verzögern. Wir haben uns bewusst dafür entschieden, die Hardcover-Ausgabe bei einer relativ kleinen, aber auf hochwertige Kleinauflagen spezialisierten Firma in Deutschland produzieren zu lassen. Leider ist auch diese Firma, wie viele andere, von der Erkältungswelle der letzten Wochen nicht verschont geblieben. Und so blöd es auch ist: Wenn in einer kleinen Firma mehrere Mitarbeiter gleichzeitig flach liegen, hat das natürlich Auswirkungen auf Produktionszeiten und Liefertermine.

Genau das ist jetzt passiert. Wir stehen aber die ganze Zeit in Kontakt mit dem Hersteller und es sieht im Moment so aus, dass die Bücher am Freitag an die Spedition übergeben werden und dann voraussichtlich am 11. oder 12. November bei uns ankommen. Wir halten Euch natürlich auf dem Laufenden.
Die gute Nachricht: Lea und Yainet haben den Versand schon so weit wie möglich vorbereitet und sobald die Bücher geliefert werden, werden wir dafür sorgen, dass sie ohne große Verzögerung zu Euch auf die Reise gehen.

Ganz wichtig: Wir versenden die Hardcover nur als Paket mit Trackingnummer. Sobald das Paket unser Haus verlässt, hinterlegt Lea die Trackingnummer bei eurer Bestellung.

Wir entschuldigen uns für die Verspätung. Wir dachten, wir hätten genügend Puffer eingeplant. Beim nächsten Band versuchen wir die Produktion besser zu timen.

Hello everyone!

Unfortunately, the dispatch of the hardcover edition will be delayed by a few days. We have deliberately decided to have the hardcover edition produced by a relatively small company in Germany that specialises in high-quality short runs. Unfortunately, this company, like many others, has not been spared from the wave of colds in recent weeks. And as stupid as it is, when several employees in a small company are off sick at the same time, this naturally has an impact on production times and delivery dates.

That's exactly what's happened now. However, we are in contact with the manufacturer all the time and at the moment it looks like the books will be handed over to the shipping company on Friday and are expected to arrive on 11 or 12 November. We will of course keep you up to date.

The good news: Lea and Yainet have already prepared the shipping as far as possible and as soon as the books are delivered, we will make sure that they will be on their way to you without much delay.
Very important: We only send the hardcovers as a parcel with a tracking number. As soon as the parcel leaves our house, Lea will add the tracking number to your order.

We apologise for the delay, we thought we had planned enough buffer. We will try to time production better for the next volume.
