An update from Ps :

Today the winds in our storm got a little stronger. Around noon John started complaining of a horrible headache - and 30 min later it was so bad that I called an ambulance. Due to Covid, I was not permitted in the hospital - but the staff communicated with me that the ER Drs were immediately very concerned with his symptoms. After 2 hours of tests - It was determined that he had a severe infection (not clear what). They have admitted him and are treating him with strong antibiotics. His incredibly kind nurse - gave me permission to see him for 5 min when I brought his stuff for the night. He is very sick but in good spirits. Dr says by morning, with the meds (and all of your prayers!!!) they believe he will be much improved. Amen!!!
So here I am - sitting on the back patio listening to "Surrounded" / Bethel Peace album. The lyrics say how I feel and yet, what I know to be true. John and I ARE surrounded - by a MIGHTY ARMY of heavenly angels - and your prayers!!!!

The song “Mary, Did You Know?” traces the character of Christ from the messianic prophecies of the Hebrew Bible (“save our sons and daughters” from Isaiah 43:6), to Jesus’ earthly ministry (healing the blind, walking on water, etc.), and finally Christ’s cosmic reign (as heaven’s perfect Lamb, rule the nations, the Great I Am, etc.).

Far from diminishing Mary, it invites to look to her as we attempt to understand the mystery of the Incarnation.

In all, it’s a fitting summation of the role of Christ.

A huge thank you to everyone who is already supporting us financially and in prayer. Over the next 40 days we are doing a big push to raise 40 additional monthly partners and additional one time supporters so we can reach Italy for Christ. We will be posting daily about us, Italy, the vision, and the need.

During COVID-19 we know things have been tough for everyone in different ways. For us, the difficulties have included itinerating and trying to raise the monthly funds necessary. Typically we would be in 2-3 church services a week presenting our mission to packed churches. Unfortunately this is not the case at the moment. Today I signed Executive Order 20-11 to declare that a State of Emergency exists in Missouri due to civil unrest. The Missouri National Guard and the Missouri State Highway Patrol stand ready to support local authorities.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of George Floyd. We are also saddened by the acts of violence that have transpired across our nation and state in response to this event. At this time, we are taking a proactive approach to protect Missouri and its people.
