This project came with an unusual prompt when it came to design… While most of our clients come to us wanting a kitchen that will be the star of the show in their house, these clients wanted something a little more understated – almost something that didn’t even register to the eye, so that the true star of their home could shine: the panoramic views of Vermont! As one of the last homes on their road at the top of West Hill, this Stratton area home’s views are absolutely jaw-dropping in every direction you look. With expansive windows showcasing the mountains of Vermont in 3 directions year-round, it was easy to see why our clients didn’t want anything to take away from that view.

Founded in 2019 by Tom Bodett, a passionate woodworker and well-known writer and radio personality, and Greg Goodman, a master cabinet builder, HatchSpace has grown into a dynamic nonprofit organization that elevates the Southeastern Vermont community through hands-on work.

Stratton President and COO Matt Jones and his family have been enjoying everything the resort and region offer in the summer during his first year here at Stratton Mountain Resort, and he’s looking forward to the fall foliage experience. Throughout his time at Stratton, Jones has gone above and beyond to connect with all members of the greater Stratton community. On “Ride With Matt Day,” Jones joined a group of Stratton team members and locals at the Stratton Mountain Bike Park, and spent time riding with them on the trails. Jarad Golitko, a 20-year Stratton employee and avid mountain biker, joined the group, remarking, “Matt has a passion for biking and the skills to match. His authenticity and ability to make executive-level decisions are key to having a successful bike park experience here at Stratton, which focuses on fun, family, and progression.” In the weeks leading up to the Fall season, Jones spoke with Stratton Magazine about his first year at Stratton, the Stratton Mountain Bike Park and golf courses, and what he’s looking forward to enjoying with his family at Stratton this Fall.

2024 STRATTON OPEN: UPA VERMONT STATE PICKLEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2024 Stratton Open returns for its second year - this time as the Vermont State qualifier for the UPA World Championships. This 3-day tournament is held at Vermont’s largest outdoor pickleball center. With singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, there are plenty of play options for players of all levels.
