My name is Michael and my wife's Sudeshna. We love to travel the world just like you. We haven't been everywhere, but we do have a list. We travel International at least once a year and make an effort to record our experience and learn about the places, so we can share with one and all. We are not professional blog writers, so we write how its natural to us and hope that our fellow travelers will enjoy reading them as well as find our posts interesting and useful. Me and my wife, we both are from Kolakata, the city of joy and great food. Presently, we live in Hyderabad, the city of Nawabs and equally great food - Nizami cuisine. I, Michael, a Music Composer & Conductor and my wife is a Jewelry Designer. Its all started with my music related trips to abroad, which now has become our excuse to travel and see the world. Because of my symphonic musical attachments with Europe, we travel more to Italy and other European countries. We have also traveled to UK, Tokyo, Dubai, Oman and Malaysia. Some of them I did solo. Humans used to travel.around until the borders were put. We came out of the jungle and became what we are today because we traveled. It's in our development system, part of the process in becoming a better human. So my friends, you ought to travel, it's your significant need.

Buddha's teachings are the most practical, rational and effective you will find in the entire history. He was way ahead of his time, modern and simple.

He tried to help the poor and backward class to be wiser and not get stressed out by the wealthy and oppressors. He taught them that the afterlife is important, and eventually, gaining Moksha is our only goal. The billionaires have depression too, the true meaning of life is 'Dukha'. Therefore, directing our eyes beyond the materialistic world is significant.

He couldn't give money to the poor, so he gave them wisdom, developed their intellectual standard and knowledge base. The poor understood the true meaning of life from Buddha. That's what I called empowering human society by making them stronger from the inside so nothing can shake them easily or manipulate them.

Surely, we don't live in such an enlightened society anymore!

Chowman in Hyderabad

The food tastes like Kolkata Street Chinese, especially the veg hakka noodles. The chilli pork (gravy) tastes like Kolkata style chilli chicken (similar).

To be honest, I tried many expensive asian pork preparations from posh Hyderabad restaurants, and never liked any of them. BBQ Pork from Jonathan's Kitchen is only what we love. The veg noodles and chilli pork from Chowman were much better than those expensive pork dishes, which don't even taste authentic like they do in Thailand and Japan. These dishes from Chowman at least taste like Kolkata street Chinese, little spicy, plus coming from a standard hygienic kitchen (hopefully), and in a reasonable price.

Personal verdict: I will order again and try their other preparations.

P/s I found the homeopathic bottles used for sauce and vinegar quite cute! 🙂
