Some updates on the Naoko release. Unfortunately we had to decline three different test pressings due to bad sound and we are now waiting for the fourth, so there will be a little delay in the shipping of LPs. Thankfully the distribution is handled by this time so once we have the product in hand the packaging and shipping will be fast and smooth. -Spiritual guidance for the album came from the tarot – she often pulled "The Star" and the "The Chariot around the time of recording – the latter was significant: a card depicting a knight in yogic pose, on a chariot flanked by sphinx. "This card came to me so many times. He has a mask, and he's a soldier, but this card asks: who are you? Who are you without the armour?" These questions, and the self-knowledge they demand, is the album's engine. It is a journey towards unmasking our true selves, and a symbol of strength that fuels a confident leap forward.
Recorded over two solid days, Infinity is wholly improvised, with no plans made or intentions set before the recording.
I recorded until midnight – capturing everything without stopping, recording from a place of no judgement."
She looks to nobody for inspiration and instead channels the energies she feels around her, which are woven into her playing as she becomes one with the music. "It almost feels like I become vibrations or particles – like I become the music itself," she says. "I become totally consumed by the energy in the sound, and the music and me becomes the same thing; -

Posted • Happy to finally share that the next album is in the making!!!!!
I had 2 very special recording days in the end of July this year. I felt I reached very deep inside me and my own frequency.🪐
I recorded almost 6 hours of music and it became 49 improvisations. I was listening this autumn on all the takes and now I chose the takes which reflected this special energy I felt in those days.

I did both recording and mixing with the fantastic this time again and I will release this music on the best in next year✨💎

Looking so much forward to share with you in next year!!!

Every concert is unique for me since I improvise the music in that moment and it almost feels like living a life in 40 or 50 minutes every time.

14 years from today this image was taken. Two teens in Glasgow after a Radiohead concert. Everything circulated around music and it still does, but in a different way. It’s not as much about making dreams, it’s more about taking action and living them. Pomperipossa Records is a label built out of love and a sincere belief that alternative culture is important. One of those releases we are a little extra proud of. The story of this offermose]] cassette release is kind of crazy! In the midst of a room with black walls, black ceiling, black floor, piles of ashes everywhere (!), these tapes (kind of) survived unharmed, under a carbon paper, a long and very aggressive house fire. A miracle happened ? Ooooor offermose]] happened🔥⭐️🔥!!! thanks to all of you who supported this release regardless of the “texture” and smell of this release 😅❤️

Posted • Intonal Festival] The Japanese pianist – whose recent solo album Dancing Spirits was released by Anna von Hausswolff’s Pomperipossa Records last spring – brings her improvisatory spirit to Malmö. With authentic musicality and creative talent, her music is not part of an ordinary listening experience. Rather, it is the result of an experimental musical approach in which each individual note follows the previous one without any definite principle, except for total freedom. Sakata takes experimental music to its utmost limit. It is an artistic performance that brings to mind natural phenomena because it is unlimited in its expression, impulsive in its performance, inscrutable in its order, faithful and obedient to one thing only: its own existence.
