DJ Zinhle Introduces New Sunglasses

DJ Zinhle continues to serve us sizzling style as she introduces a new addition to her growing fashion and accessories brand, Era By DJ Zinhle as she adds a fresh fashion forward sunglass range.

The sunglass range, called Eravision, which arrives just in time for summer consists of 10 different designs all complete with their unique and individual aesthetics.

In a series of tweets, Emtee breaks down, reveals how his wife has been physically abusing him

Abuse against men is a deep seated issue not given enough air time in mainstream media. And this may be because men often don’t come forward to detail their story or even go to the authorities. Yesterday, multiple award winning rapper, Emtee, revealed that he is scared of his wife, Nicole Chinsamy whom he alleged has been physically abusing him over the years.

In a series of tweets, the Brand New Day hit maker revealed that he is scared of his fiancé Nicole Chinsamy. In a cry for help, he expressed that he wants to be single because he can’t take it anymore. Stating that she called the cops on him twice lying that he was abusing her, although, according to him, it was the other way round.

“Can I be single, please. I’m a man of peace. Ang’zwani namasimba. Sizani bo! Seng’ze nga bizelwa ama poyisa ka bili ngingenzanga lutho bathatha yonke Intsangu yam. Uthi mina ngiyam’shaya lapho ushaya mina, thuka mina.”

Emtee also mentions that Nicole frequently calls his brothers and uncles on him, describing being abused by her mother as well.

“… no mama wakhona who tried to choke me and I saw the evil in her as she was holding me by the throat against the wall,” he writes. Adding that he is currently staying with a good friend of his because she took away the keys to his place.

Rap artist, Lesego Mphela known as Dawgta has collaborated with vocalist Musscales. The pair released a new single titled, Nyakazisa- a feel-good hip-hop banger infused with the current favourite Amapiano sound.

Lyrically, the track tells a story of Dawgta and Scales meeting a ‘wifey’ type woman in the club. They are impressed by her dance moves and just can’t get enough. More than this, they are captivated by her beauty. The unconventional love song finds its home on the equally eccentric Amapiano, R&B and Hip Hop fusion.

Thee Leaks bring through a modified and contemporary Trap sound on new single, No Pressure

Cape Town is the gift that keeps on giving lately when it comes to talent. This week on our radar is Hip Hop Group Thee Leaks who recently released No Pressure.

Thee Leaks are a prolific hip-hop group from the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa. They bring to the game of hip-hop an unmatched and unsurpassed sound and style that will change the direction of hip-hop on the continent and worldwide. Their only sole mandate is to take up their rightful place at the pinnacle of the Hip-Hop game.

The group comprises of Gravity with soulful lyrical lacings. Beezow, runs as the second gunner with deeply encrypted flows. Producer M Lloyd holds the rear, pulling all the creative elements of the trio together. Thee Leaks can best be described as an AR15, shooting lyrical flows without ever running empty in the chamber.

The song No Pressure was inspired by growing up in a context with multiple challenges that can easily result in a loss of motivation or having a sense of giving up.
“Despite the extensive sets of challenges we faced, it always felt important to continue to find a way through in whatever it was we were doing. I guess being young we carried the idea of facing our challenges with No Pressure. If we thought of it any other way then that sense of hopelessness sets in”.

After being fearful of facing prejudice for years, musician Simphiwe Dana decided to finally live in her full truth and revealed that she's part of the LGBTQI+ community.

The Ndiredi hitmaker took to her Twitter TL to announce the news about her sexuality, saying that she's been hiding it for too long and, even though she expects rejection from Africa, she's decided she's OK with that.

“I've been holding this in since forever. I'm gay.
“I know coming out means Africa will block me. But, after a lot of thinking, I’m OK with it. I’m marrying a woman, and I’ve never been happier,” she said

Coolest local female celebrity award goes to Babes Wodumo

South African gqom queen Babes Wodumo was named the Coolest Local Female Celebrity at the 2018 Sunday Times Generation Next Awards that took place in Sandton this week. In the celebrity and entertainment categories, Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana soccer-star Siphiwe Tshabalala came out as the Coolest Local Sportsperson. Both MetroFM and the SABC drama, Uzalo, were again named as the Coolest Radio Station and Coolest TV Soap respectively. Black Coffee continued his reign as Coolest Local DJ, and Trevor Noah remains Coolest Local Male Celebrity and the Coolest Local TV Star. Babes Wodumo was named Coolest Local Female Celebrity for the second year running. Nasty C, who also performed at the Awards, was named Coolest Local Music Star.
