"Emotional Clothing” by

The first silhouette uses two type of smart materials: it reacts on a body temperature by changing its color from solid black to translucent n**e, and it reacts on a heart rate measuring the BPM and signaling the changes using blinking speed and changing light color from cold to warm.

The second silhouette uses passive and active smart materials: it reacts on a GSR of its wearer signaling the stress level and communicate it by changing color of lights on a chest area from warm to cold. It reacts on a gesture, giving the possibility to control the movement of the light set in the arm area. The dome diffuses a light using translucent material. The whole system is connected using conductive thread and conductive fabric.

FN Street Style Recap 📡🖥👠👚

If you missed MVFW, there is no need to worry because we have you covered. While the first ever VR fashion show was happening in the metaverse, there was another street style fashion show in the streets of Decentraland.

This digital fashion week brought out unique avatars wearing eccentric looks and designer wearables to showcase their style individuality. This fashion week was truly a colorful and stylish display of VR fashion. And we have selected some of the most attention grabbing and best dressed avatars in Decentraland in our metaverse fashion street style recap.

The first ever digital fashion week saw fun and stylish wearables from fashion houses like D&G and Etro. Unlike physical Fashion Week, abstract pieces were on exhibition, with user avatars dawning neon accessories, glowing wings and sculptural gowns just to name a few. Below, are some of the most impressive street style looks spotted at MVFW.

FN Recap: Wearables and NFTs in Decentraland

Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) a completely virtual experience just wrapped up and we want to chat about some of the highlights. The digital event took place in Decentraland; a decentralized virtual social platform on the Ethereum blockchain. hosted artists and designers including fashion giants like Tommy Hilfiger, Estée Lauder, Philipp Plein, Selfridges and Dolce & Gabbana. Unlike any other fashion week, included brands and designers who displayed (NFTs) on 3D avatars.

While the idea of a digital fashion is not new, fashion designers praised MVFW as one of the most exciting ways for brands to engage with consumers. As the NFT space grows so does the metaverse, which is poised to be a trillion dollar industry.

Tommy Hilfiger was quoted saying at a fireside chat during the show “It’s part of our DNA to embrace what’s next, and I really believe the Metaverse is next and will lead us to more creativity, more experiences and more opportunity to build a community of fans worldwide.”

Another participant in the first digital fashion week, German fashion designer Philipp Plein also participated in this year's MVFW and showcased his NFT collection in the designs house newly acquired $1.4 million Plein Plaza, which is a plot of land in the Decentraland metaverse. Yes, there is real estate in the metaverse! In addition to digital wearables on 3D avatars, MVFW showcased pop-ups from retailers selling NFT digiphysical items. Like, Privé Porter, who had its luxury resale pop-up shop in Decentraland’s Threedium Plaza. During the event, Privé Porter featured four 3D NFT Hermès bags which were valued at over $500,000.

While Metaverse Fashion week took off without a hitch, there were some small tech issues mainly with software which caused some accessibility issues for those attending.

However, we see the success of this first Metaverse Fashion week as a sign that fashion just may be ready to go fully digital and explore wearables.

“Mumbai-based architecture firm .in has designed a fluid interior space that is filled with a plenty of vegetation and trees. Named Garden Room, it is the real room that intakes nature in, with bulbous-shaped windows and mini gardens featuring stones, cave-like surfaces and stone age doors.

Situated in the quaint suburb of Pali Hill, Mumbai, the room was designed for a flamboyant couple and they wanted to see a harmony mixed with the nature inside. Curved walls and surfaces are leading the users in different directions and every time the owners can feel like they are passing within the garden.

Featuring a single bedroom within this greenesh atmosphere, the organically designed spaces seamlessly flow into each other, thinning the boundaries and bringing nature closer to the living.

The spaces take on a sculptural form with some wrapped in turquoise mosaic, some in mediterranean whites, while others in slate and green.

Amorph-shaped reflective windows and cave-like surfaces make the users like they are living a stone age. The quality of materials, a special green color-palette and simplicity provide a distinguished harmony for a simple room.” .in via
