104.1 FM Umuahia Grants Audience To Ex-Corps Member On Walk-A-Ton Over Unemployment

Umuahia-based 104.1 FM (Vision Africa Radio) on Monday granted audience to former Corps Member, Decency Tompson on Walk-A-Ton over the worrisome unemployment rate in the country.

He had earlier been hosted by the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia State (BCA) to a live interview session where he shed more light on the marathon from Nasarawa State to Port Harcourt.

Mr Tompson who had recently completed his mandatory 1-year national service in Nasarawa State took off at the main gate of the Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic(IMAP), Lafia on April 08 to create awareness on a newly created portal geared towards addressing youth unemployment in the country.

The Ogba people are said to have migrated to their present location from their original location historically put at Benin in the then Benin empire. This history records them as a brave and justice conscious people who descended from ÀKLÀKÀ a brave Benin warrior born into the Ogbelaka royal family.

ÀKLÀKÀ a Benin warrior, also a close general to the the Oba of Benin, who disagreed with the policies of one of the historically reputable dictatorial Oba of Benin between 13th to 14th centuries while this is accepted as the origin of the settlement of the Ogba people in modern Ogbaland, many more peoples have migrated from other tribes to settle and be absorbed into the Ogba nation.

THE OGBA NATION (part one)

The expression Ogba, refers to the ethnic nation, language and people of Ogba who inhabit a geographical area of the lower creeks of the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

Found in the current Rivers State of Nigeria, the Ogba people occupies— 90% of the
Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, 5% of Ahoada east of local government area and 5% of the Emohua local government area, of the said Rivers State of Nigeria.

With a population of about — 1, million citizens and a land mass of 934 square kilometers spanning from Ebochna(boundary between Ogba and Egbema to Eligbo( boundary between OGBA and Ekpeye.
The Ogba people live on a level plain ground with a rich arable soil and innumerable natural resources, major among which is crude Oil and Natural Gas which lies in abundance in the Ogba soil.

The Ogba area is presently area with the single largest concentration of crude oil in Nigerias Niger Delta region.

Forming the main bases of Agip Oil company and Total final Elf company operations in Nigeria, the region plays host to two of Nigerias three liquefied Natural Gas plants. One of which is stationed in -Obrikom11 town,
the other at Obìté Town.

The Ogba nation has produced geeat Activists & literature personnels, the leading among the few, are Prof: claude Akeh and senator F.J. Ellah’.
This article contains few narration on the origins, customs and culture of the Ogba people, the latter is a scanty collection of information posted on the internet for the electronic navigator. While it can thus be said that there is little literature on the Ogba people, there exists a long consistent and well known oral traditional history of the Ogba people. This history easily corroborated by the history of sister ethnic nations around Ogba and other copious and obvious cultural signatures leave a researcher in no doubt as to its truth.

If you claim CHRISTIANITY and INTERMARRIAGE influenced the original Ogba, Ekpeye and Ikwerre languages and brought about our IGBO culture and traditions, who then gave our progenitors the Igbo name they're bearing?
Because AKALAKA and EZECHIMA are not BININ names and doesn't have any meaning in Binin language.

AKALAKA means DESTINY in IKWERRE dialect with same meaning in central Igbo language.

EZECHIMA is a combined Igbo word. EZE means "a rich ruler or a King" CHIMA means "God-knows" jointly called EZECHIMA in both Ikwerre and central Igbo language.

How were they able to bear such Igbo names if they're Binin descendants?

Note that the original spelling of Akalaka is AKARAKA in both Ikwerre and central Igbo language. Just like Ihuruoha was corrupted as Iwhuruoha and Iwhuruohna, AKARAKA was also corrupted as AKALAKA to fit into the Binin narrative but they all still doesn't have any meaning in Binin language.

Honestly, This is like making mockery of our people and we must stop the spread of this age long lies with evidence of our true IGBO ancestry
