Double cover! Phyllis Burton and Princess Jackson graced our digital Women Spotlight covers!

This Mother and Daughter Duo are globally impacting communities and restoring humanity. Phyllis is the founder of the V.O. Burton Foundation and Princess is the founder of Sock Out Poverty, Inc. The two nonprofit organizations have one cause and that’s serving those who are in need. Phyllis and Princess inherited their compassion for the community from Phyllis’ late father, Varn O. Burton. Mr. Burton was a pillar in the community and was known for helping underserved families.

Thus the V.O. Burton Foundation was created in his honor. Phyllis and Princess’s selfless acts of kindness and humanitarianism were recognized and they both are recipients of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden. To date, Phyllis and Princess have been collectively serving the community all over the world for over 10 years.
