These moving images and scenes take me right back to Saint Lucia in the hills and valleys of Grace Vieux Fort where I spent a whole lot of time as a young lion growing my locks, watching the rising Sun climb over the mountains, living a natural life bathing in the rivers, it was strictly Ital eating fruits and vegetables, drinking cane and coconut juice, smoking and drinking g***a (ma*****na) tea, listening to Conscious Reggae Music, giving thanks and praises to the Most High and feeling like I was in Africa.

right in the middle of this ravaging fire,
It kindles
it heats up my love
and burns me with desire.
I am right in the middle of flame
bubbling to the boiling point
that brings memories of Iris to the surface of my mind

It's a while now since she's gone
to a distant place
a remote plain of existence
far away and beyond.
Her steaming hot machinery I operated vigorously
to a vibrating grind
its exhaust spitting flames
burned red hot and heated my love.
I am reminiscing,
inflammable ....
and Iris rises like smoke to the surface of my mind.

When it comes to love, not the confused, misconceived intense feeling of deep romantic affection for another, but LOVE in the Universal Cosmic sense; LOVE to have and share with ALL as required by the Most High Creator where no conditions are warranted ... and without this LOVE as required by The Most High which is not arrogant, but patient and kind. does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, does not dishonor others, is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. This love is the greatest and encompasses all... Without this LOVE, all other variations or mutations of love in the sub folders of the drop down menu is incapable of being trustworthy and authentic.

Vaughn was humble in the real sense of the word and he was down with everyone unlike many in the media circles and upscale status groupings. Vaughn was always seen around the city having conversations, greetings and smiles with the grassroots peoples which made him stand out as radio personality and broadcaster not only behind the microphone but in the faces of the people he meets on the streets.

This is the courage and black consciousness many Caribbean leaders lack. Can a Saint Lucian PM do this? The structure of our system have many of our people very passive to resistance of colonialism and docile on matters concerning self advancement through black liberation Struggle

Alas! Saint Lucia has a top young reggae band that is hardcore on the issues of slavery, oppression, injustice, inequality and in the forefront of the black liberation Struggle. It takes conscious youths like these growing up in the South and knows what time is, not half stepping, telling the truth in real time and not being afraid to offend those who turn away from reality ignore the truth to be accepted by the status quo.
