Please enjoy this jam-packed, albeit late, April Issue of NS. I'd like to highlight one story by Chris Bullard. https://nailpolishstories.wordpress.com/2022/05/01/april-2022/

Barely There

We let the gate guard know one crypt was open. He laughed, “Sometimes they get out.”

We never took the graveyard short cut again.

The January, 2022 Issue of Nailpolish Stories, A Tiny And Colorful Literary Journal is now live. I hope you enjoy. I'd like to highlight the fact that contributors featured in this one hale from as far and wide as Nigeria and India as well as from all around the United States. This is somewhat typical. I think it's both wild and comforting to know people everywhere in the world are, no matter their situations, no matter their differences, pretty much the same. And that, in its purest form, is what I've always loved about literature in the first place--the universality it communicates.

Best of 2021 stories were selected for their unique use of language, breadth of story in so few words, emotional impact, and the complex and original relationship of the titles to their stories. Congratulations to the writers whose work was chosen for this special issue. And thank you to every submitter, contributor and reader of 2021. Nailpolish Stories wishes you an abundance of good health and a most happy 2022. A special note to add that this is the first Best of Issue to feature two pieces by the same author from different issues, Edmund Fines.

Many apologies for the lateness of the January Issue which is finally live. So many technical issues which I'm still working out. Thank you to the contributors who continue to trust me with their work.

The "Best of 2019" Nailpolish Stories, A Tiny And Colorful Literary Journal is now live. Stories were selected for their unique use of language, breadth of story in so few words, emotional impact, and the complex and original relationship of the titles to their stories. These are the literary aesthetics by which I select all pieces, but these particular ones got me hard in the feels via all the magic of these gifted wordsters. My sincerest congratulations to the writers in this tiny issue, all the contributors of 2019, and deepest thank you to the readers who've stuck with, supported and enjoyed my tiny sparkly endeavor, now nine years going. I vow to bring you a tiny print edition in 2021 for its ten year birthday. Happy New Year from NS! Never, ever underestimate the power of words.
