HALLUCINATION ABOUT "JAGABAN ARMY", IT IS TOO EARLY TO CRY BEFORE DEFEAT.

Our attention has been drawn to the misguided hue and cry from the PDP about the the inauguration of a sub directorate of the Apc youth campaign council, otherwise known as the jagaban army.

It is very unfortunate that the PDP has been relegated to jumping from pillar to post in a bid to seek for non existent relevance, since it has absolutely nothing new to offer to Nigerians.

The PDP deserves the sympathy of all well meaning Nigerians as it undertakes it last kick as a dying horse

As specialist in failure, the PDP has now begun searching for reasons to attribute it impending failures at the polls next month, with it recent spree of malicious deceit about the jagaban army.

Contrary to the falsehood disseminated by the PDP which has always been their stock in trade, the Jagaban’s Army is a sub-directorate of the recently-inaugurated APC National Youth Wing Campaign Council.

It's branding as an ‘army’ was informed by the popular regarding of political canvassers as ‘foot soldiers’. Nevertheless, it is a peaceful and democratic organization of young canvassers whose task is to facilitate support and ensure the poll success of the APC in the General Elections, beginning with the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima.

Rather than strategizing for how to loose next month election, the PDP is worried by the teeming number of Young persons who have selflessly dedicated to the course of Asiwaju.

Instead of trying to sell their unsellable product to Nigerians, the PDP seems to be more bothered about the actions of the progressives.

The progressive youths have absolutely confidence in the ability of Asiwaju, and will therefore work to enthrone competence.

KADUNA UPDATE: Official launch of the Kaduna State Social Protection Policy

Remarks by Malam Nasir El-Rufai, Governor of Kaduna State, at the launch of the Kaduna State Social Protection Policy, held at the Council Chambers, Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna, on Tuesday, 23rd February 2021

PROTOCOLS

1. With solemn appreciation of the challenges of poverty and social exclusion, I welcome you all to the public launch of the Kaduna State Social Protection Policy. This policy was formally approved by the State Executive Council in the second half of 2020. The policy is a demonstration of our belief that a sub-national government should have a coherent statement of the values and principles governing its efforts to protect the poor and vulnerable.

2. In the absence of a well-established and properly coordinated social protection system, the poor and vulnerable are left to bear the harsh realities and conditions unassisted. The COVID-19 pandemic, with all its socio-economic disruptions, has shown us how much despair the poor and vulnerable go through on a daily basis. This Policy is indicative of the unwavering resolve of the Kaduna State Government to ensure a life of dignity for all its residents on the basis of right, and not charity.

3. To ensure that social protection is pursued in an inclusive and sustainable manner, this Social Protection Policy will be supported by a Social Protection Law, To ensure that Government delivers on its promise, a well-articulated Implementation Plan and Results Framework have also been developed.

4. As a party, one of our core objectives in APC is to protect the interest of farmers, workers, women, youth and persons with disability women, leaving no one behind. In Kaduna State, our governance agenda since 2015 has been anchored on promoting equality of opportunity. We have focused on expanding access to education and healthcare as the fulcrum of human capital development. This government has made education in the state free and compulsory for the first 12 years. We have also enacted the Child Welfare and Protection Law. Our public healthcare system offers free services for pregnant women and children younger than five years.

5. In 2018, we launched the Kaduna State Women Empowerment Fund (KADSWEF). The fund began by disbursing N200m to women across the State as MSME loans. Over 7,000 women benefited from the scheme and have since begun repaying their loans. Our officials have visited over 3,000 of these beneficiaries to assess their trades and we are happy with the results.

6. Just yesterday, the Kaduna State Executive Council approved measures to widen the digital payment infrastructure in order to help improve financial inclusion, especially for rural dwellers. Financial exclusion is a reflection of poverty and it complicates the access of poor people to financial services. A feasibility study we commissioned in 2020 revealed that 64% of Kaduna State residents do not have bank accounts. An overwhelming majority (89%) of persons without bank accounts are female.

7. To cater to the health needs of the populace, the Kaduna Contributory Health Insurance Scheme Law was enacted, and the Kaduna Contributory Health Management Agency (KADCHMA) was established to manage it. This Scheme was designed to widen the net of coverage and to ensure that all residents of the State, including the poor and vulnerable have access to quality healthcare. Beyond that, Kaduna State provides free medical treatment of children under the age of five and elderly citizens over the age of 65 across the State.

8. In September 2019, Kaduna State became the first government to pay the new national minimum wage on N30,000 monthly. As part of our commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind, we also raised the minimum monthly pension to N30,000 for workers who retired on the old defined benefit scheme. The state began implementing the new contributory pension scheme on 1st January 2017

9. In the coming weeks, a Social Protection Agency will be established by Government to ensure that all social protection programmes in the State are delivered in an integrated, inclusive and sustainable manner that optimizes resource utilization and achieves high impact. The Agency will utilize an Integrated Social Protection Management Information System, which will serve as a data repository to ensure that the poorest of the poor are prioritized in programme planning and benefits. This will also ensure the effective monitoring and evaluation of programme impacts on targeted poor and vulnerable residents of the State.

10. The government is aware of the enormous cost of providing social protection coverage for the poor and vulnerable. Yet, through this policy, we seek to guarantee minimum social protection floors for every poor and vulnerable person. For this purpose, the Kaduna State Government welcomes partnership with all key stakeholders (donor agencies, private individuals, NGOs, and CSOs) in the social protection space. Only in this sense will it be possible to achieve the laudable goal of this Policy, which is to achieve a Kaduna State where poor and vulnerable persons live productive and dignifying lives.

11. The task ahead is great, yet looking back at what we have achieved, we have reasons to believe in the possibility of actualizing the objectives of the policy. For this purpose, I will like to recognize and particularly appreciate the active support of Save the Children International through the Child Grant Development Programme (CDGP) in strengthening social protection in the State. Special thanks goes to Members of the State Steering Committee on Social Investment for this major milestone, and all donor partners, NGOs, and Civil Society Organisations who have assisted the State in one way or the other especially in the area of social protection.

12. Invited guests, ladies and gentlemen, Nigeria is going through trying times. We have the largest number of poor people anywhere in the world. Five percent of the poor people probably live in Kaduna State. Yet, whenever a programmme is designed to help the poor and vulnerable, we resort to a slot mentality in which important people are allocated slots, instead of targeting those poor and vulnerable people who deserve it. This is unfortunate. We must move away from slot mentality and use our social register to offer targeted support to those that truly need it. I appeal to all my colleagues, the political elites, to please drop this slot mentality and use the social register so that programmes targeting the poor and vulnerable actually go to the poor and vulnerable.

13. When we think of the poor and vulnerable, we must all remember that the welfare of each is bound up in the welfare of all. I hereby launch this Policy to the glory of God, and to the benefit of humanity and the good people of Kaduna State.

From a colleague: BEWARE - AREWA24, A WEAPON OF CHOICE...

Do you know that Arewa-24 TV station doesn't belong to anyone in the North, nor Nigeria?

Do you know that Arewa-24 TV station was invented by the American CIA?

Do you know the motive behind the CIA's decision to invent such TV station in the heart of Northern Nigeria?

I have spent the last few days understudying the founders and motives of Arewa-24 TV station. Below summarizes my findings which are shocking...

Yes, Arewa24 TV station is owned by the USA, and was invented by the CIA under the pretext of 'deradicalizing Boko Haram'.
However, any rational thinking Northern folk will easily see the smoke in such deceitful and baseless claim by the CIA. This led to more digging to find out the actual motive of inbenting the TV channel, and the deliberate choice of location (Kano).

AREWA24 AS A WEAPON OF CHOICE FOR THE CIA

Recall that Nigeria is the most populated black nation on the face of the earth, Northern Nigerian Muslims are perceived to be amongst the most conservative and practicing Muslims in the world.
I'll share some perspective to aid understanding of this. There are some Muslim countries that sentence Muslim men to jail if they marry a second wife. Yes, I mean Muslim countries (such as Tunisia), while a good number of Muslim countries only hear about polygamy but not in practice.

Northern Nigeria is amongst the very few locations in the world where public drinking of alcohol is denounced. You can claim that such is done in places like Jos, and some christian dominated areas. But these locations are less than 10% of the North as a region, hence doesn't change the fact.
Also, recall that about 13yrs ago, Northern Nigeria played a pivotal role in fighting the satanic demonic miss-world program that was planned to take place in Abuja during Ramadan of that year.

Northern Nigeria is where you see women dressed in an Islamic acceptable attire (although this is changing fast), hijab is seen almost in every street and corner.

You will agree with me that for a responsible Nigerian Northerner, the Northern culture and Islamic values are mutually interrelated in most cases.

The CIA launched the Arewa24 TV station to eliminate the Islamic values from our core cultural values, thereby leaving the Northern Muslims at the mercy of all sort of immorality, so the region can welcome the Western satanic ideologies and animalistic lifestyle such as: gay marriage, transgender, disobedient to parents, drinking, removal of hijab...

Please, understand that as a tactical move, the goal may not necessarily be on you/I/us, due to our Islamic foundation, but our younger ones, our children and the generation that will come after them.

This is why the station promotes musicians, artists, showing one can become famous by doing indecent things that completely contradict the Northern custure, let alone the Islamic values.
The station presents mostly people that act in an unislamic manner, people that lack morality, but position them as successful people so that the younger generation will either emulate them, stop seeing anything wrong in such immoral acts, or worse case weaken their hearts and mind away from Islamic proactive via wasting time on unnecessary things rather than going to islamiyya.

Today, Northern women learn how to talk down, shout at and direspect their husbands.
Northern women now kill their husband's at will, and guess what, the Western advocacy groups jump in to defend them from being prosecuted so that the menace will continue.
We have alot of women and youth that don't know how to perform basic Islamic practices like prayers in the North, but can spend many hours watching Arewa24.

CHILDREN LEARN HOW TO DISRESPECT THEIR PARENTS VIA DIFFERENT TV PROGRAMS.

The CIA has funded the interpretation of different Bolkywood films/programs in Hausa language, to catch even those that have never been to school. This plan is working very well. Almost every woman and youth in the North now has a specific program of interest that he or she watches on Arewa24.

YOU HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY

Now that you know what is happening, what are you going to do?
1) Have alternative channels that teach Islamic values, such as Peace TV, Huda TV...

2) You must ensure that your children and wife/wives all attend Islamic school.

3) Convince any of your wealthy friend/associate from your contact to invest in a TV station that will be beneficial to the Ummah via designing educative programs. He will run it as business to make profit from adverts, program sponsorships...

4) Use your power and influence to ban and parmanently sieze the license of Arewa24 TV station.
