‘’I give street artists a chance to sell their work.’’

Robert Burt moved to Barcelona to start a new life. He opened a gallery just like in his previous hometown LA.

Hollywood, it is the place where people go to make their dreams come true. Robert Burt did the opposite thing, he left Hollywood for Barcelona in pursuit of his dream. Things maybe didn’t end up the way he expected, but by having one of the coolest urban art galleries around, he can’t complain. …

Are Barcelona's citizens losing their city to tourists?

Barcelona: it is the place that has it all. We all love the liberal no pasa nada (no problem) feeling of the capital city of Catalonia, and therefore it is not crazy that every year more and more people come to visit Barcelona. All these tourists have a huge impact on the city, though. …

"Only on Friday and Saturday night I am gay", Turgay Bayindir says.

Bayindir lives in Istanbul. As a volunteer he tries to help g**s, le****ns, bisexuals and transgenders with their insecurities as well as with juridical questions.

This June the twenty- second edition of the Istanbul gay pride will be held, but don’t be mistaken; it is not a pride as we know it like in Amsterdam: one big party with half-naked men and women dancing on boats that float through the canals. In Istanbul it is a peaceful march to point …

Budapest the "new Hollywood"?

"For one production I had to disguise Hungary as six different cities. Italy and Berlin weren’t hard to do. Japan was a difficult assignment", Gergó Bakos, location scout and production Manager, says.

Every now and then you can find Hollywood celebrities and big film crews in and around the city of Budapest. Last month, for example, Tom Hanks was spotted during the making of the new ‘Da Vinci Code’ film and Ridley Scott just left the country after completing ‘The Martian’, an upcoming sci-fi film…

The unemployment rate in Croatia is one of the highest in Europe. In Hum, the world's smallest city, it's basically zero. Everyone who is of working age has a job. Also, the souvenir shops are employing people around the town since almost everything is really homemade. These beautiful ceramic decorations are an example of this and are made in the kitchen of a friend of the owner - not in China.

Under the railway in Altantic 18 shopkeepers are facing a possible eviction from their landlord, Network Rail, who wants to "renovate" the arches where their shops are. The traders claim that the renovation work is set to send rents soaring to as much as three times the current rate, which will force them out of the area. Most of them have been there for more than 40 years when when "people wouldn't take a place in Brixton for a pound".

"The traders are the community and we will fight for them to stay". Potent Whisper is a rap singer who just made a song about gentrification in Brixon in Inner London .

One of our reporters has been able to see the results of the campaign "Save Brixton Arches" that tries to stop the evictions. Keep posted to see artists and activists unite their forces to try to help the traiders in a fight that is all over London.
